How to know which Transponder 4 digit number to insert on FBY A32NX before flight

Dear Simmers,

How to know which Transponder 4 digit number to insert on FBY A32NX before flight?

this is provided by ATC. But typically speaking:

1200 - VFR in Class E or G Airspace
2000 - IFR but no flight following (or Oceanic)
2200 IFR with flight following but no plan on file
7700 General Emergency (do not use on VATSIM)

If you are doing IFR-when you request clearance the ATC person will say a squawk code. This is what you put in the transponder.

If VFR-the ATC person will give you a squawk code after taking off. Until the controller does this-keep your transponder at 1200.

Unless you’re flying in a non-FAA country, then the standard VFR is usually 7000

Here’s a handy list.
