Yes, but what if it’s a small airport with just a runway and no ramp or gate? [This is why MSFS is just a game and not a simulator] For my VA, I have to start cold and dark. Shutting an aircraft down after selecting a starting location makes no sense at all. There should be at least 1 off-runway location to startup and taxi - even for a grass strip.
I can set a cruise altitude of the runway altitude with a custom departure location but it still starts with the engine running!
In Fs2024 you start from checklist outside all engine off, regardless where you are.
