Hello!
How to make last flight ( the position of the plane last flown at the parking last parked) as the default flight, as was possible in the previous iterations of the SIM!?
Now there’s no more little checkbox saying ‘load as a default flight’!
As far as I know, you can’t. Not in the way it used to be implemented on previous sims.
I addressed the inability to preserve aircraft states (location, parking spot, switch positions, such as leaving the beacon light on, gauge and cockpit lighting, etc) while testing the initial release of the sim 2 years ago. It has not yet been addressed by the devs.
It seems like a simple .cfg file that preserves that info and loads the aircraft in the same spot, in the same configuration, but with current time and live weather would be a relatively easy thing to do.
Right now, to the best of my knowledge, you can save a flight with the aircraft and location you want, but aircraft state resets (switches, lights, etc), and the time and weather conditions present when the flight was saved are what loads.
Kind of the opposite of what you and I are trying to accomplish, to be honest.
I’m not sure if anything has changed as far as saving and loading flights goes, because it didn’t do what I needed it to, so I haven’t used it in over a year.
Thank you!
There is a tool for that but i don’t knoe the name
The way I see it, if you just set up a new flight in the same area of the ramp where you last parked, that’s good enough. In the real world, planes get moved around for any number of reasons after being shut down, so if you’re not in the exact same spot, it’s no big deal.
