I am new to Airbus and when I disconnect the autopilot, the alarm keeps going off and the two buttons in front of the main pilot don’t work, what should I do?

I believe you need to bind a button to AUTOPILOT OFF. I’d have to look at my control bindings to verify, but I’m certain the the TOGGLE binding is not the same thing.
Correct. And you need to press it twice. Once to turn AP off, a second time to turn off the alarm.
Can’t I just click the AP on the panel to disconnect it?
No, you have to click the autopilot disconnect on the side stick.
Twice
Nope. Autopilot disconnect and autopilot off are not the same thing. You need to bind a button to it.
That’s not entirely correct, your guidance is indeed the preferred method. You can also disconnect the AP by pressing an illuminated AP1 or AP2 button on the FCU. And if you bump or otherwise move the sidestick the AP will disconnect (at least it would IRL).
No disrespect intended, and I admit I’m really old and several years removed from the left seat of the 320. Disconnecting the AP does in fact turn the AP off, you will see the red AP OFF in the lower ECAM (E/WD if you prefer).
Its more specific to MSFS and which of the bindings used will actually turn off the AP.
I think the subtle difference is in the sim, they are treated differently. The AP Toggle bind “Presses” the AP button on the MCP, so yes it turns it off. It won’t silence the alarm.
Maybe the best way to say it is AP disco must be used the second time to silence. Either can be used to turn it off.
Okay…I didn’t infer the OP was asking for keybinding help, my bad. I read the OP as asking for help silencing the chime, and a followup about what happens if he pressed the AP1 or AP2.
Break, break
For the OP,
-
If you press either AP1 or AP2 when they are illuminated, you turn off the autopilot (and get the chime and warning light).
-
If you press either when the opposite is illuminated you switch APs.
-
If neither is illuminated (because you just disconnected and the chime is going off) and you press one, IRL the chime is silenced and you engage that AP.
If your controller setup doesn’t give you multiple options to program keybindings, press the illuminated red MASTER WARN button after disconnecting the AP to silence the chime and “cancel” the warning.
