I have activated eye tracking in OpenXR, and I think foveated rendering is set up. But how can I confirm? Looking outside the centre obviously does not work because eye tracking would move the centre accordingly if it works. Can I get circles drawn in ala tobii eyetracker software to show where I am focusing? Any other way to confirm it is working/set up correctly?
Disable it and check if there’s any decrease in performance?
In OpenXR Toolkit configure very aggressive (low) resolution for the middle and outer rings, you should be able to see if the rings follow your gaze. You should expect up to 10% FPS increase due to Foveated Rendering (no matter Fixed or Dynamic).
