Uninstall from Windows main menu and remove all left over folders.

You might want to check out Revo Uninstaller, it cleans up everything!

On Windows 11 one would go to Settings (Windows key + I) > Apps > Installed Apps > find MSFS 2024 in the list > click the 3 dots far right and select Uninstall.

Hi, did you find a satisfactory solution? I’m so looking to find a clean uninstall to start again!

Have not found a total solution yet. I deleted everything I felt safe deleting, but it still left me with lots of GB still somewhere!

Did you delete the folder in your appdata directory? It would contain the rolling cache file that would be 16GB by default.

Thanks I’ll give your suggestion a try.
My controllers seem to be in a complete mess. Many disconnected, I only fly in VR and this is now impossible. Please advise the procedure for uninstalling 2024 and reinstalling - a fresh start is called for now. Thank you.

We need answers to this. Is there anything else we need to remove after doing the uninstall? MS has a habit of not removing everything.

Use Revo Uninstaller - it works great. I use it to uninstall everything, even chipset and video drivers.

Revo uses the regular Windows app uninstaller that would normally run and immediately afterwards, you can have Revo do a scan whichs finds all the leftover garbage the uninstaller left behind Clean as a whistle when done and Revo is free.

Youtube videos are available so you can see how it works.

Get revo Uninstaller. It will delete anything and everything. All remaining folders and all. Watch Jay’s 2 cents on you tube. He explains it very well.

Another plug for Revo Uninstaller. Have been using it for a year now to get rid of apps and other junk that gets installed. And it works great.

If u have steam version u can delete first by steam ?
