Quite an annoying occurrence - in the Cessna 172, every time I hover over a clickable area, a sub menu pops up informing me what it is and how to interact with it - I already know that. I cannot find any menu function to turn this off. Any ideas or is it a standard thing with the Cessna 172?
General Options > Accessibility > User Interface:
- Cockpit Interaction System > Legacy
- Menu Tooltips > OFF
- Instrument Name Tooltips > OFF
You can turn off the tooltips and descriptions in Lock mode too, if you want. You don’t have to switch to Legacy mode. I find many of the control knobs easier and faster to adjust in Lock mode.
I have only typed my settings, what JazzBassman5751 wants to use I leave to him.
The blue flashing of the instruments on mouse over bothers me and looks completely unrealistic to me.
Same here. I was just providing more facts about the settings, along with my opinion, to the OP. I wasn’t replying to you.
We already asked Asobo to make the blue highlighting in Lock mode optional. They didn’t do it for us yet. In the meantime I’d still rather have a blue highlight than knobs that are annoying to grab and take forever to turn with the mouse.
The OP just wanted to know where to set what because he can’t find the options to do so. Simple info. He doesn’t need any help, tips, etc. That’s what he wrote. I also don’t care if anyone has asked Asobo for anything. The lock mode is for gamepads. I use Hotas and operate the buttons with the mouse and the OP for sure. The OP will certainly find out for itself what effect each option has.

Both - Thank you for the advice and I have implemented the change to my satisfaction.
