How to turn sound off on MSFS without killing the sound on my computer?

As the topic says. Is there a way to stop MSFS sound without losing the sound on my computer?

On windows 10, bottom right, right click the sounds icon and click volume mixer. You will be able to adjust individual sounds for individual programs. That’s how I do it.

There is an option under Sound in the sim to not play any sim audio when the sim is in background. ALT + TAB to a different window, sound goes away, rest of apps unaffected.

You can kill the sound from the games menu or as @RC2018 said you can use the Windows Volume Mixer - which is much easier and faster.

Open the Game bar with Win+G or the controller button and mute MSFS only:
