How do I do this?

Try unzipping it somewhere else and then moving it to the Community folder, or, just use 7zip.

My method (PC)

  1. Download the ZIP file to a folder in OneDrive called MSFS_ZIP.
  2. Use 7-zip to extract the files to a folder on my D: drive called \downloads\MSFS.
  3. Copy the correct extracted folder to the appropriate folder in my Addons_Linker folder. (You could instead copy it to the general Community folder at this step.)

Sometimes the extracted folder contains another folder, plus documentation. You need to copy the folder containing the .json files.

I have had the same issue. After some digging I found a message saying that the destination path (community folder) is too long.
Simple solution for me was to create a new folder on the desktop and unzip there. Then just drag the files to the community folder.
