How to view full screen on monitor when in VR

Hi, Is there a way to view VR on your monitor in full screen instead of the double view?

The only way I’ve found is with a second monitor. The double view has to be on the 1st monitor screen so VR works properly, the single view is on the WMR window which has to be minimised so the double screen is the one on display.
I’ve found dragging the WMR window onto a second monitor works perfectly. Not sure how much extra resources that take up though.

Sorry but what’s a WMR Window? I see that in X Plane 12 the On screen view is a single clear picture while using Oculus VR Headset. If X Plane has it sorted why not MFS???

Windows mixed reality portal for the G2 and other windows VR sets. I presumed for some reason that he was using one of these. Does Oculus not have a similar window that can be moved to another screen. The double view is generated by flight sim directly I think.

Thanks for reply, Now I understand. Oculus not in same league as G2, doesn’t speak to windows mixed reality, doesn’t have an equal to WMR window. The Oculus Desk top app has to be connected with the headset and then the sim started. then the sim can be switched (within the sim) from mono to VR. I agree the double view is generated by MFS but it seems it can only have a single output either in mono or VR . And that the same in headset or onscreen.
On that last when X Plane 12 is started in mono there is an in sim option to connect VR. When that is selected the headset is in VR but the onscreen picture remains in mono. Not that I’m promoting
X Plane, but why cant MFS do the same?

Once in VR mode you can’t really change anything on the monitor screen

Try oculus Tray Tool there are options to change the Monitor Output

Single screen mirror on the monitor is one of the most basic things you can code with VR…and yet after 4 years we still don’t have it…
