HP Reverb G2...new discovery for clearer imaging

I can’t believe after over 4 years I found an article that informed me that I could remove the Magnetic Lens Spacer for HP Reverb G2 V2 which shipped with the unit…never knew it was there in the first place until I read an article the other day, it really helps a lot with the clarity and by also improving the FOV.
Also I have a question:
The IPD slider adjusts both eyes at the same time, I have 1 eye a bit closer to my nose than the other eye so I cannot get both eyes in the sweet spot at the same time…is there any way to adjust the eyes individually?

Link to the article?? Never knew this

see previous post…I’ve already removed it and it works as advertised

It’s just a gasket, I’ve never seen anyone calling it a spacer :). I replaced it 2 years ago. The image is not clearer, but FOV is slightly bigger.

Wish I read this info years ago…resolution for me much better.

You get better resolution by moving your eyes closer to a display??? It’s physically and technically impossible LOL.

You make a good point…however as an example, when using the zoom option on the Garmin 5000 it makes it crystal clear. Similarly getting closer to the lens for me also gives greater clarity…whatever it is I’m happy with the improvement.
