Leg 22: Stillwater Creek (Royal City WA) to Boeing Field (Seattle WA)
It was the final leg, but some really gorgeous views of the Cascades - it did not disappoint. 114 nm 0:50:00 enroute.
Departing Stillwater Creek:
Crossing the Columbia River and entering the Tenaway Community Forest just south of Wenatchee:
Off to port, the last massive crags for this trip - Mt. Stuart and Dragontail Peak, with glimpses of Chimney Rock West, all while passing Cle Elum Lake:
The majestic shape of Mt. Ranier out of the PIC window; I-90 below winds past Kachess and Keechelus Lakes:
We exit the Cascades, and Seattle dominates the far end of the plains - beyond is the North Pacific - we’ve transited the breadth of the Continental United States:
Great views of the city as we turn into the approach lane for 14L:
Passing over the harbor and the rail yards, we make safely down into Boeing field. What a great trip!
