It made me very happy to get the IFR certificate in FSX. Fiendishly difficult without the use of autopilot. Now when I fly on Vatsim, I have no fear of being given a hold…

ahhh fs2004 was such a great package , with a ton of info. and i think the most user
addon planes ever made.

There wasn’t one.
Rod Machado taught us to “Kick the Crab” out of the plane on crosswind landings.
These were great, I had the FS2000 ones blutaked to my walls as a kid.
FS ACADEMY make a wide range of tutorial mission for exactly this. We made the Bush Flying and IFR default tutorials and have VFR, IFR and Jet missions of our own.
I’m trying to squeeze some realism back in, inspired by my real world flying and the old tutorials I completed as a kid. I might still have my own set of certificates in a safe place somewhere!
I don’t know how many times he kindly told me I “Bought the Farm”. He was way more supportive than the MSFS 2020 flight instructor.
I remember reading through the manual or ground school documentation of fs 2002 that was included.
I really miss those documentations/manuals back in the days.
