Yep! I earned my Flight Sim Pilot License back in 2004.
Who’s the Chief Examiner?
Charlie Chickenscratch
Might have been Rod Machado even then.
That’s pretty close to what mine looks like! ha
I can tell you that one of my original flight instructors was Chuck Yeager - back in '87.
2004 was already the era of King Schools (John and Martha) - Rod Machado’s signature looks very different - check it out here (quite at the bottom of the page).
I wish Asobo would implement this in FS2020, would be a far better challenge and satisfaction than most of the “activities”. IMHO.
They could create new challenges for PPL, Multi-Engine, IFR, Commercial, ATP, etc…
Couldn’t agree more.
It would be great to bring new, young people into aviation, not just sims.
Not sure why the FS team is trying to keep real life away from the sim - topics talking about real world flying being closed etc.
For me, it all started with simming - I was simming and dreaming about flying since 1994, until I decided to go for it in 2000 - never stopped flying since then. I am sure it’s the same for many more!
Surely Bill Gates? He was no longer CEO in 2004, but still chief software architect, sooo…
The signature also looks like a wayward flight path.
It’s actually a profile of the checkride flight path.
I still have mine.
Betty White.
Haha got one of those too. Good memories.
Any relation with Walter White?

Reminds me of this video that I watched when I was a kid.
In the German dubbing, John was even more excited about his Joystick… I miss those videos.
If that’s the old Microsoft Force Feedback joystick, he had reason to be excited… I loved that thing!
I still have it, but, I need to convert it to USB.
Something like this but in reverse?
