i have premium and deluxe edition
working on it for a week or more. everything is ok until i click the fly now button. nothing works anymore. i just blew away my xbox so it was a new unit and installed xbox insider first and then flight simulator. had to go through three installs about 60g apiece. everything looks ok. then i go to flight training and i am trying to get an A in attitude. no controls work. i can use the ‘L’ button to get the control display and i can select options but nothing helps to control the plane.
if i go to scenic trips like the pyramids, i can’t do anything with the plane except watch the scenery. i used to be able to fly the plane in the past.
i have gone through the xbox troubleshooting procedures and they seem ok. i am at a loss of what to do next. thank you. i did have a post on the xbox on community but no one has answered for my problem.

i don’t know what a piloting assist is. i saw thar in one of the drop downs on a scenic fly but don’t know what it does. i did click on a lot of things bwfore my reinstall of flightsimulator.
everything in assistance is set to easy. all lthe pilot settings are ‘on’ but i can’t figure out how to get them off. also, my controller says it is gamepad (helicopters). ??? and i see there is something about autopilot on the controller settings. thank you. i’m kinda a new user yet. i have 7 hours flying time…
Click on Piloting.
All the items below that (as in my pic) will then be shown.
Click on the" > " at the end of each line until they change to as shown.
As @TheSevenflyer says, you need to turn off those Assistance settings – at least until you get your issue sorted. Frankly, most of those settings, many of us have found, have been more of a hindrance than a help when learning to fly a simulator. They have the best of intentions, but…
For testing purposes set Options > Assistance Options > Piloting > Hard
You need to change that. That is not going to work with airplanes. Change it to:
that did it. i can fly again. my controller is too sensitive though. i have too much attitude adjusting the cessna. thank you. and i got the controller in default.
Doing so will generate a new settings profile for the controller. It will not modify the default, so you will always have that to switch back to, if need be.
thank you. right now i am uploading all my 7 world updates that whatsoever disappeared. i think that is because working on the controller problem i deleted the reserved space. still in the learning mode and i am 80.
