Title. I changed the flashlights to red for accuracy (as I’ve seen IRL aviation videos and their head-mounted lights are always red).

I don’t believe the “flashlight” works outside the aircraft. You can see it on the wing etc from inside but you can’t use it in a “walk around” for instance.
Yes, that’s right. I haven’t checked the behavior of the flashlight outside. I think it only works in the cockpit.

I have an ophthalmology background and can tell you that red light is used because it helps preserves night vision.
Yep, that makes sense too. Not a glaring white bright light sure helps keep the strain off your eyes.
Anyways, just message here if there are any changes I can make to the mod.

Pretty much this. You do your walk around with a nice bright LED flashlight but hop into the cold cockpit with a red tinted light to ease the vision adjustment and maintain it.
