I don't understand Medevac missions

I cannot understand how medevac missions work in career mode. I’ve just created a company and bought a brand new PC-12 and on my first mission from LEPA to somewhere in Portugal everything was fine until I’ve arrived to cruise altitude.

Then the doctor says that his patient was getting worse and that I had to land inmediately. I’m instructed to connect to ATC and land. OK, ok, I connect to LEVC, that was only 46 miles away and has a good runway and a nice hospital, and ask for clearance to land.

I land there very smoothly and then a message shows: Risk of losing the mission: you cannot land here. What? As soon as I exit the runway the mission ends and has failed! Really? I’ve done what I was supposed to do!

I’ve had it happen twice and both times, it gave me a specific location to land. I don’t think you can locate and chose one yourself. Having said that, the game on both instances, got confused as to whether I should or shouldn’t actually land there. The last time I was almost on approach VFR and I apparently took too long and mission failed.
I don’t think I’d try and operate a Medevac company, in fact I won’t even attempt the missions. Like a fool, I just did so once again, after losing my um, “composure” the mission attempt before that. I made it 80% of the way through the mission and my GPU was lagging (RTX 4060) all of a sudden, from 60 FPS on nearly full Ultra, down to 4. I went to dial it back, turning HDR off, went to return to the flight, and it just stopped talking to the GPU all together. Another 2-3 hours flushed.
I think the issue was related to my increasing the sim rate.

Thanks, @InvitingSteam46 how did the game indicate you where to land? I just received the instruction to connect to ATC and ask for clearance.

It’s a pity because I like those kind of missions. And in SU Beta 1 the PC-12 really works better, not perfect yet, but better. I’ll give it some more tries and if it is unplayable I’ll continue delivering packages all around Europe…

What was your cruising altitude? Oxygen system is broken in the PC-12 so if you attempt to go above ~20k ft the mission you’ll get warnings about bad conditions or something. Maybe that’s why the patient gets worse in that scenario.
For cargo I change the cruise altitude to 18k ft from the EFB during the briefing, hopefully it also works for medevac.

No, I’ve already suffer the pressurization issue and now I don’t fly above FL190. My flight level was FL180 and everything was going fine. It’s just the patient became worse…

I had that too! Now I’m not getting ATC communication at all during the flight and no chatter from the nurse o4 Doctor

Finally I managed to complete one of those missions. The destination airport does not appear in the mission steps but in the pan-pan communication to ATC. Then you must be quick and precise with the Honeywell to create a route to the airport while you connect to the airport to ask for clearance.

If everything goes right you’ll get about 400-500K of reward - not much for the effort and the adrenaline you spend.

If you don’t receive any emergency the trip is normally too long for a PC12. I’ll try later with the PC-24. I’d like to use the C90 but is unusable for career mode because AP does not engage. But it generates good money in passive income

You can add gas in flight if you look in your settings you can fix it by applying a button

I had that happen and even “crashed” but it let me continue from a point where it told me about the O2.
I flipped the lever for “pilot O2” which is a bit under half way down the instruments and off to the right. It seemed to work as I continued at 21,000 ft for the rest of the flight until decent approach.
My landing gear was stuck deployed and if not for adding fuel, I would have run out. This was in a medium cargo mission but in the PC.
