Hi @Hester40MT, @MichaMMA , @ArconoPython931 who some time ago helped me a lot and well:

I had the intention to change the Server from Northern Europe to Western Europe, and as Spain is in Western Europe, the resolution could be better. This created a problem that I never imagined.

THIS WHOLE MISHAP HAPPENED LIKE THIS:

When I clicked on my gamertag, I discovered that my SERVER was not ONLINE, I clicked on Sign out, the following image appeared: “Xbox” and when I clicked on “sign in”, my torture to go back to the beginning began.

  1. I was asked for my e.mail. I enter it and I am informed that it is NOT correct. AND YES, IT IS CORRECT.

  2. I am asked for the telephone number instead, and then I am informed that the prefix is not correct (having extracted it from their list of international prefixes, it can’t be wrong, besides, I know that prefix, in the case of Spain= 34).

  3. It also asks me for the password, which they also tell me is incorrect. I have to create a new password. All the data entered by me is correct, but the system says the opposite to EVERYTHING!

All this repeated ad nauseam

  1. After entering my phone number for the umpteenth time (instead of email), it asks me for a 4 digit code sent to my mobile phone, which could take several minutes. After waiting for more than an hour, I switched off the PC until the next day.

  2. The next day, the 4-digit code was there, but to no avail. They ask me for my e-mail, and again they say it is not correct and suggest another e-mail, which I accepted. Then they ask me for my password and telephone number, and again they say that they are NOT correct and they block my account for one day for having made too many mistakes.

  3. The next day, they ask me for my phone number, I entered a NEW phone number, which they accepted; then they ask me for: my address, postcode, birthday, which left me perplexed.

  4. I was then asked a question in American English, which I understood NOTHING. They also asked me to identify a “zebra” among several icons (figures), but there was no zebra there. They wanted to know if I was a “robot”.

  5. Again they sent me an image to identify “Choose how you look on Xbox”, but there was nothing there, and then to enter my Gamertag (SpottedAxis7643).

Again they rejected the information provided as incorrect, and again they blocked my account until the next day

9. The next day, they asked me for my password and telephone number, they accepted both as correct, they sent me the code (which I received immediately) and
finally! Before the Sim loads; before it finishes loading, an image appears informing me if I want: “satellite data streaming” or “No world streaming”. My answer was satellite data streaming. It continued loading and at the end I was presented with the “options” screen to configure the game (which everything had been unconfigured according to my configuration prior to this mishap).
I would add the following to what has been said in relation to this mishap:

About 15 days before I tried to receive the signal from the Northern European Server, on the Western European Server, the Steam platform started asking me for my password every time I tried to load the Sim. If I did it 5 times a day, it would ask for it 5 times. This request from Steam lasted between 10 to 15 days; suddenly, it stopped asking for it as radically as it had started.

Normally Steam would rarely make this request, I would enter it and it would take a long time (sometimes several months) before a new request.

I wonder if it might have something to do with this mishap, this repetitive way of asking me for my password. I really have no idea.

Another issue is that with the mishap I have told you about, they have slightly changed my gamertag. Before, the symbol was a kind of sphere and name: “SpottedAxis7643” ; now the symbol could be a joystick (blurred) and name: “SPOTTEDAXIX7643” (An “X” at the end of the name, instead of an “S” in the previous gamertag.

And another difference: heading the text of the posts, the gamertag is the same as always, but in the image obtained by clicking on the gamertag (with the Sim loaded, and to change SERVER), it is different in that letter and in the symbol to the right of my gamertag. And the SERVER is still OFFLINE, that’s the reason for this topic sent to the Forum, asking for help to solve this strange anomaly

IN OTHER WORDS :

My Gamertag (after the described mishap) this is different in the Sim. than it appears in the Forum:

In the Sim : SpottedAxix7643 (“X” at the end of gamertag)

In the Forum : SpottendAxis7643 (“S” at the end of gamertag )

SERVER is still OFFLINE

Hello, as this seems more a request for help and not a bug report, the topic has been moved into the Community Support section for assistance. The #bugs-and-issues categories are more for reporting bugs via the provided template.

Just to check - Do you have “Online Functionality” enabled? Options > General > Data

Ă€hmm
that sounds a bit confusing

It seems you have created a second account and may be therefore you get allways the “login dialog” ( it’s not Steam ). A big guess might be, that the problems you had with your account also relates to the Server-Offline message. But on other side you can login, otherwise you would not able to open MSFS.

Thus
Checking the mentioned “online functionaly” setting is number one. But I expect in case this setting is off, that you get at least the Server-List ( that you not only see AUTOMATIC[
] an no servers determined ).

Does the xbox-app show you, that you are online ?

Also
I remeber a similar case and searched a bit. I found following with an intressting hint:

I tried to set Multiplayer = Off and yes, then also the Server-list goes gray and empty. Can you check that setting too ? ( may be set all Online-Settings to On )

Hi @ThomasRalph5791, @Michamma, @RevampedSine732

Thanks Thomas for your quick intervention, and also to you Michamma

Sorry, I had to interrupt the communication.

As you can see in the image, DATA is ON.

I don’t know whether or not this is a bug that I have with the “offline” server. but I suppose that now it can be clarified, in any case I headed it as a help.

I must also add that the structure that has resulted in this thread is not well structured information that I have provided to the Forum because the template that I found to fill, I had never found, and consequently I have broken the sequence of text and images that I had planned to send to the Forum. In any case, I will now provide any information I am asked for in order to put the Server “online”.

Also and read your comments Michamma, indeed, DATA was multiplayer OFF, I turned it ON, but nothing changes, the Server continues OFFLINE. The image shown is multiplayer OFF.

From what you told me in the link you sent me at the end of the topic, I don’t know what the solution to that problem was "GamerTag shown as 'offline' even though I am all logged in - #6 by Shychloe2016".

I look forward to your suggestions and help

Regards: Delfin

Hi @MichaMMA

No Michamma, the last image of my topic, shows that the server is ONLINE, but it was only after entering all the information that the system asked me, at that moment it was ONLINE, but the next day I clicked on the gamertag and discovered that it had returned to OFFLINE, with the aggravating factor that I had also partially changed the gamertag; with the Sim loaded: SpottedAxix7643, but in the Forum, continues exactly the previous one: SpottedAxis7643 (which was always my gamertg).
Thanks for your contribution and effort
Kind regards: Delfin

Hi @SpottedAxis7643 ,

Is the status ONLINE now and are the servers no longer disabled, as in the picture above?

In other words, is it as you want it to be?

Regards.

@RevampedSine732

Hola Raymond

I don’t think you recognised me, and I certainly don’t think you read the text above the image, because there I explain that this image only appeared when I had entered all the information that the system asked me for. At that moment this image appeared and I was able to change to West Europe, but then this image disappeared and in its place appeared even another gamertg : SpottedAxix7643 but OFFLINE. And here we remain.

This is the new gamertag:

This is so weird!

Hi Delfin,

this issue is still a bit confusing.

What I linked looks like an issue that “offline” is shown if multiplayer is set to OFF, but you are online. So, be sure to have multiplayer on

But thats not the problem with your two accounts. Not sure where to start here. The only idea is still to check which user(game) is logged-in within the windows xbox-app tool. Otherwise, I have not realy an idea about these user-switch.

Hi @MichaMMA , @RevampedSine732

Today again I checked the DATA status in General Options, and found that the “multiplayer” option was set to OFF. That surprised me, again I switched it to ON, and then I was deeply surprised that
my gamertag (SERVER) ,switched to ONLINE. I then made several switches with different servers on different continents, and it works correctly. This is really strange; let’s hope it lasts in this situation and does not return to the previous situation.

It is clear MichaMMA, that you are right, especially that the link you sent me, (although it was not indicated in that topic), the problem had been solved.

However, it continues with my Sim, the new gamertag: SpottedAxix7643 (in the Sim) and SpottedAxis7643 (in the Forum)
Let’s see if this does not create a conflict again, because this Sim and its complicated configurations, create problems very difficult to imagine, and one of them is this: How is it possible (and what will it have to do) that “multiplayer” is ON or OFF, so that the Server has created this situation.

MichaMMA, I am very grateful for your effort and for your success in this solution.

Thank you, and thank you.

Best regards: Delfin

ah
then may be check whether the setting stay persistend - not that you have an issue with your config and next time the setting is again OFF.

This “multiplayer OFF => shows OFFLINE” is realy confusing and I already voted within the linked bug report.

And yes
the problem with the two users can may be cause strange situations in future
at least it is confusing
