I want the manual logbook

What satisfaction to make a Frankfurt Venice flight (EDDF - LIPZ) with the Longitude and discover that the logbook does not care: zero take-off, zero landing … only in the air.

And also the time is not correct: i do it late afternoon but is reported during late morning. Also no night land reported…bah

Create an excel sheet or write them down yourself? That’s how pilots do it in the real world…

I had a similar very funny logbook bug 0 takeoffs 1 landing!
Aviator ex-machina! It’s a miracle!

It is too absurd: for each flight, when the plane is turned off, the register appears and a line is added with take-off and landing (but not always). By clicking on “continue” you earn a phantom flight with zero zero zero. But does anyone perform a feature test?

after the log book in fs2020 stopped working correctly i started using Sim Toolkit Pro it will save your flight plan from sim brief log the flight and rate your touch down plus more
as someone new to flight simming i am finding it really good

anybody have a fix to ensure takeoffs get logged? None of mine do when I start on a ramp, cold/dark…

turn off developer mode.

appreciate the dev mode suggestion, I saw that in the thread. Unfortunately, I never use developer mode

Press “back to main menu” instead of “continue”. Continue will either not log it at all or make a 00:00:00 record

For a total immersion, buy a peperbook logbook like old fashioned real world pilots do.

Same here. If I start on a runway, which I rarely do, takeoffs are noted. If I start on a ramp, it’s alway 0. Landings are usually acknowledged.

Annyoing. And no, I don’t want to rely on additional tools as a rule.

If you buy a real book dont forget to write in ink or maker that it is a Simulation book. One can get in trouble if book gets out as a real flight book of flights. Not that any sim pilot would do that but a family member not knowing might accidently lose or spread around.

Landings will only be recorded as Night if the landing takes place 30 minutes or more after local official sunset. Same principle with early take offs (30 minutes or more before sunrise).

Same here, also use STKP for my flight logging.

Similar tools such as LittleNavMap also offer a form of automated logbooks.

For whatever reason, I do not have any trouble with my logbook at the moment.

The ones where takeoffs = 0 are those I started in midair. Those where landings = 0 are those I aborted midflight. Where both = 0, I pressed continue by mistake.

Most of my takeoffs start cold and dark, in various planes (mostly A320, TBM, 720). I do everything by the book, i.e. contact ATC for clearance, request taxi, ask for pushback, ask to stop pushback, follow the taxi ribbon, ask for clearance before going on the runway. I always acknowledge instructions. The destination marker on the runway always disappears before takeoff. I don’t know what would happen if I left any one of these out.

With landings, they seem to be logged immediately after touchdown, without even needing to go to parking. The trips are also logged even if I don’t get the logbook entry display when I shut the aircraft down.

It would be good if we could actually manually correct the logbook entries. Most times mine are correct (remember times are in UTC/GMT) but on occasion they don’t record take-off/landing and the zero flights (which are caused if you press the “Continue” button after the sim has “finished” your flight are just unnecessary padding
