I followed this method to fix my stuttering during touchdown

Instead of deleting the effect file, I was told to add the OFF word exactly as shown in the picture, but instead of adding the OFF word, I deleted the files

I want to restore the files that have been deleted

MSFS2020 You can always reinstall it, but this method takes too long

I’d like to know how to recover the files

The files are not left anywhere on my computer

You should have backed them up before you even began to touch them.

Windows keeps a Recycle Bin of deleted files and folders. The files might be there if you haven’t cleaned out your Recycle Bin or if Windows hasn’t removed files to make more room on a disk.

Just restart the sim, the missing files will be downloaded and installed.

If for whatever reason the sim doesn’t restore a single file in a folder, deleting the entire folder e.g. “fs-base-effects”, will force the sim to download it all. I wouldn’t have thought that folder was large.
