I’m getting a new PC soon with RTX 3080. Should I get the I5-12600k or i9-9900k for best performance?

I compared these two for you, looks like a no-brainer to me. But there are heaps more options depending on your budget.
Not sure which currency the price is listed in, I suspect its USD.
I’m in Australia but it doesn’t look like AUD since I paid over $1000AUD for a i9-10900X just over a year ago.

With a next gen motherboard and maybe ddr5 the Alder lake chip should be a no brainer
