iFly 737 MAX Discussion

It’s probably a steeper learning curve then because B737 is an older design and keeps the pilot more involved than let’s say the very automated A320. I like both worlds however, it’s refreshing to jump from Airbus to Boeing and vice versa.

I’ve just noticed Navigraph is also ready…

Those who have experience with iFly products for P3D. How are they with keeping their planes up to date? Do they update them regularly or release and forget?

I’ve seen some people who owned their products for P3D and they were quite praising them for the quality, support and bug fixing.

generaly a good release. but im currious on your guys opinion.
personaly the aircraft feels a bit too easy to taxi, and in general it feels extremly light on thr ground and in the air comapred to to PMDG 737 i dont know if im the only one who thinks like that and im currious on how you guy think about this

but verry good plane in general! i hope evryone is having fun with this one!

Nice line up you have there

id have to agree @mhron has nice hanger over there :smirk:

Haha, thanks. And if I scrolled down there would be another 3 variants of PMDG 737, PMDG 777 and MD-11  And Fenix A320 on another tab :upside_down_face:

Good taste and hopefully enough time to fly them all. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Yes, I agree with the steering. It’s very sensitive and easy to taxi. I hope they’ll improve that. Regarding the throttles on ground… A330 Driver who had flown Max IRL said it’s high on idle and can easily taxi on idle.

I rotate them all (though CRJ and 737 -600, -700 variants not so often now). I’ve got a job that allows me to fly and work in the meantime when it’s on the AP.

Nice one.

I’m retired, but RL can still get in the way sometimes.

Can I hear a bit more about the comment that the MCAS is not simulated?

I´m no expert but as I know the IRL MCAS is a simulation of old 737 flight characteristic. If MCAS is “not simulated” in the iFly MAX, does it mean that the iFly MAX flies differently from the old 737s? (Well, every sim-iterations should behave differently due to imperfection of simulation anyway…)

Or it means that we cannot experience the notorious MCAS malfunction in the sim?

Thanks! i taught i was the only one who taught this way!
and i did not know about the idle taxi.
so that is just something normal with the MAX

but indeed i hope they Fix the steering and give the plane a heavier feeling on that front
but got to say its an amazing plane!

wich youtuber was that? id like to chek his videos

thats a bit disapointing if they realy did not integrate mcas into the 737 max
becasue it might sound stupid but i would have liked to have the opertunity to try and see for my self how it would be if it failed like in real life… well atleast in the sim as an failure ofocurse
would have been awsome!

Flightdeck2sim or A330 driver I think one of them can’t remember properly. flightdeck2sim is captain/TRE on max and A330 driver used to fly max as FO I think.

Second leg of the night, KBNA - KTPA. Quite enjoying this bird.

I’m sure this is a simple problem to solve and not at all unique but has anyone encountered this?

I have this same issue. They have a registry fix for this install issue ( iFly Manager (flight1.net), but it’s not resolving the long length path issue for me.
