IFR planning: Arrival and then Approach Chart?

Hi, I want to fly from Jaipur to Kathmandu - this time I want to try IFR, which I am not used to.

Was checking the charts, and wondering - IRL - depending on runway in use, am I always first selecting an arrival procedure, then an approach? Or can I just select an approach as well (chosing no arrival procedure)?

Here in my example, I already have selected an approach, which starts at waypoint DANFE:

Looking now on the arrival options, there is nothing, which would make sense to select.

What is the normals procedure for IFR flight planning?

Moved to ATC, Traffic & NAVAIDs which is more appropriate :+1:

When I am planning my route I always make sure my last way point makes sense for one of the published arrivals.

Maybe remove your last way point.

Can you post your current flight plan text?

Thanks - it was rather a generic question.
I was wondering - if an airport issues arrival and approach charts. Wouldnt it be logic that every approach also has at least one corresponding arrival? In this case, for this approach, I could not detect any arrival procedure.

So I was simply taking the first fix of the approach as my last enroute fix. But then there is no arrival procedure included in the flight, and I was wondering, if that would also be IRL appropriate to do so.
