Not yet, perhaps iām doing anything wrong now, although i didnāt change any procedures
When i load an IFR flight from the worldmap, for some reason i cannot get the ILS info display anymore. So ILS, Localizer and approach signs.
It does clearly still work when i push the LOC and APP buttons, but i cannot see it in the displays anymore, only the vertical and horizontal dots. I use to have this problem at some airports, but now it occurs almost everywhere at mayor airports
this is a good free website for looking up runway ILS frequencies:
Just Type in the Airport ICAO code in the Airport search box, and you can see all the ILS frequency for the runways. Otherwise, if you have Navigraph subscription, you can see the frequency in the charts.
I use littlenavmap and besides having a map with my plane showing you can get all airport information by hover the mouse over the airport and/or the runway. As default it uses āStamen terrainā but you can download a map āpluginā that gives you all kinds of google maps instead (default, sat viewā¦)
I flew the FBW A320nx yesterday. It did tune the ILS and I did see the ILS in the PFD like normal. I think you have a bad install. P.S. Iām using the experimental version.
Cleared my community folder except eindhoven airport, eindhoven scenery and redownloaded the fbw320 experimental version. Just flew the short hop from Palm Springs to LAX and it captured ILS, LOC and Approach the way it should and did in the past?
A bit weird, because other then above i only had ASOBO aircraft liveries in the community folderā¦
Gonna try some more landings to check if it works on other places as well and if i indeed got it back to work again
Well. I did a couple of flights manual and with autoland and itās working again. And with the latest updates at a speed at which the game is very enjoyable.
I think itās with the new experimental version that isāt just more realistic and not so easy as just only pressing the LS, LOC and APPROACH button and the frequenty imput is just new because it is not working as in the previous versions. So i use the info above and then it works
I never even use the LOC buttonā¦ Lol. I press the LS on approach, and use the MCDU to assign the runway. Then the ILS Freq will be populated automatically.
When the ILS is within range, I just go straight to press the APPR button. And itāll capture both LOC and G/S.
I normally did the same, but for some unknown reason at a lot of european airports it wonāt activate ILS at my sim. And i only have eindhoven airport and the new FBW experimental version installed in my community folder
