I am a little confused by the FMC in the default 747-8. Sometimes the ILS frequency for the appropriate runway appears automatically. Sometimes it just says “PARK”. This is true even when all the arrival parameters have been correctly entered. I did eventually work out how to put the frequency in manually (it’s in another thread, nobody seemed to know) but what is determining whether it appears automatically?
It’s been a while since I’ve flown the 747-8i, but ILS info might not load in automatically until you are “close” to your destination. It may be parked until you get within 150-200nm or something like that. You can check that on your next flight. See if/when it populates based on distance.
