There are tons of good YouTube videos explaining how to do this. You might want to go check them out!
The problem is not to find a yt video that shows how to do things. The problem is that the whole navigation aspect of the sim has lots of bugs and now creates confusion on how things should work and how things seem to work.
Why? Should that be deleted? The flyback bug is still present when you select an ILS approach from the world map. I havenāt tried the automatic approach thoughā¦
I do indeed. Rnav approaches seem to be much more consistent than ILS approaches, in airliners anyway. In the HJet I have had no issues at all. GA aircraft seem to be ok for me as well, but mostly I do visual hand fly landings with those, haha.
Is it confirmed fixed?
I havenāt tested it enough but on the few flights Ive flown it hasnāt happened, so hopefully it is.
I also always like to use automatic approach selection.
Officially no as far as I can tell, but everyone Iāve spoken to on here (I even started a topic) has said the same: the bug isnāt happening.
This problem happen to mee too.We are not doing anything wrong.I did hundred of irl flight plans from world map without problems. However ,since SU9 or maybe SU 8 (not sure about the timing) . I am flying with SOBO A 320 and use a PC, and have encountered this problem on the same flight plan that I previuosly did many many times without any issue. This is certainly a problem that stands outside our PC .I can say that because I recently did a flight plan that ended with the same issue ,then, the day after, I reloaded the same flight from the log and the flight ended correctly. Please also note that there is another thread mentioning this problem.Someone noticed that, sometime, when you have this problem it happen that a new waypoint USER (USR) appears on the the flight plan on the MCDU and on the VFR MAP. I have been tracking this and noticed that most of the time this is true, but in a couple of cases I lost the approach phase without the USR waypoint appearing in the f.plan.
I have no idea why all that happens. What is clear to me is that all this is out of my control.
Iād worked out a workaround recently; I was a bit miffed when they (seemingly) fixed it ![]()
The problem was that when you enter the approach, the sim inserts USR as the starting point. By the time youāve pressed insert, youāve passed USR and (and this is the bug) the plane flies back to it to start the approach.
My workaround was, on being given the approach, press Active Pause, insert the approach, then un-pause. The sim sees youāre still at USR so itās happy.
But Iāve not experienced the bug since SU9.
Thank you! Iāll give it a try.
I see here some strange things,
looks like problem is if also wtt package is installed. Never noticed that after set off approach and passed USR, aircraft start again doing turn to USR. Looks like more clear infos are needed here, also how fpl is set. First app point can be better IAF not USR so here I expect some not correct steps. Give us exact airport and approach type. Is default sim nav data package only or Navigraph, somehow I expect here In sim nav data correct?
Yeah you are right. I tend towards VFR flying for the most part.
Yeah, I get exactly the same however my son on his PC doesnāt.
Try and create a flight on the world map, select IFR and then an ILS runway as arrival and it just takes me on a direct flight path.
Ok, so this morning Iāve downloaded the World Updates (9 & 10) as well as getting the Premium Deluxe Upgrade. Iāve re-booted the game and the ILS approaches are now generating correctly.
