I’m very disheartened tbh. The hype pre launch was real. We were promised a lot of cool stuff that hasn’t come to fruition.
Improved live traffic
Airline liveries for air traffic
Higher quality photogrammetry (like the Vegas update in 2020)
Dirt accumulation (not seen any)
Wake turbulence, I’ve experienced nothing
Much faster loading times, mine takes 6 minutes to load the game
Animals everywhere you go, I’m yet to find sheep in Britain!
Live ship traffic, I barely see anything, and I tried key shipping routes
Better looking mountains with less rounded off edges
Also, I was hoping the 2020 glitches would go, but nope:
Ghosting effect when fast moving objects are viewed in external view, including wheels on take off roll
Water masking on edge of cliffs
Clouds grainy in certain conditions
Blurry scenery when looking from top down view, especially at height
Helicopter sensitivity when flying (it’s awful)
Minecraft looking scenery and trees in certain areas
Bright airports from far away, yet super dark when you land, terminals not letting off light
And not to mention the things that have gotten worse since launch:
I get multiple CTD every day
The aircraft selection UI sucks big time, it’s laggy as hell, the aircraft preview is awful, in fact it makes planes look cartoony
Photogrammetry scenery, it looks worse than in 2020!
Live traffic is way worse than it was in 2020
Helicopters fly worse than in 2020, I was expecting it to be better after all the talk of improvements made to heli physics
Taxiway lights are horrendous! Who even approved that!
Deserts are way to bright at night, super unrealistic
Loading custom views is buggy as hell
Aircraft sounds keep disappearing
I can probably keep going, but you get my point. Tbh I feel a bit robbed paying £200 for the aviator edition, especially since some of the planes just don’t work well. What’s worse, I’ve yet to receive my Collectors Edition,
Some of this may get resolved, but this will probably take years. Imo this launched way too early. Yet more shipping delays. It’s crazy!
I’m not sure if the right people will see this, but we need an explanation, and not just ‘thank you for being loyal customers’, the typical corporate talk, we want real answers please.

Justs tick to fs2020 until they fix it. Photogrametry looks amazing and in vr… even bettwr with openxr toolkit. Using exposire it looks nice. Games not ready yet. Needs to cook some. Im upset too. But hey… fs2020 performance is tons better. The point of simming is learning to fly. So lets learn to fly…
I don’t disagree. You might post your system hardware and graphic settings along with if you have any addons in your Community Folder. There are many here that are very willing to help but without knowing what hardware etc your running it’s hard for anyone to provide meaningful help or insight.
I’m not trying to beat you up but give us an idea of what 2024 is running on.
your not the only one who lost the value in MSFS, specially aircraft selection degraded features.
from my point of view, server issues are excusable, bugs too, its natural. what is really severe and not acceptable, is the degradation path, why taking already exsistng features? why presenting features in low quality status? this is not a bug, this is not a server issue, this is a work quality. its a fact, its there, the Q how things will go?
Yep and it’s hilarious hearing on the discord group flights where people still says that msfs2024 is way ahead in visuals. And I am pointing exactly what you have spot in and silence. I guess people paid, so it must be better, there’s no other way. Yet this game is hilariously bad.
Agree with all of this, appart from some sticks and rocks that pop into view at short distance and nicer looking plants from up close, not much of an upgrade. Helicopters are difficult to fly in real life, I don’t see that as an issue, although not equipping the H125 with any sort of trim is quite weird.
Even if the right people saw this (and who exactly are the right people), it would make no differance in my opinion. Fs2024 is a mess and the worst thing ever is the STREAMING. Loading times are a joke. We should be given an option of downloading and installing (as in fs2020) or streaming. My bet is the majority would download, but then the servers would do a Chernobyl.
I just enjoy using fs2020 as it works brilliantly for me.
