I’m pretty sure that’s in windows 10 as well. They optimized the Sim to work on consoles. So that’s why you are getting the performance you’re getting.
The graphics. I’m pretty sure eit comes down to LOD and stuff. They dubbed it down for the consoles as we.
Since it is a cloud based service we all have the same version. There’s config modifications you can do to change it all back but I’m okay with it being the way it is.
Also. I use REX weather for my weather so I have no clue what kind of weather system the Sims using right now.
What is your pc spec? I am asking because I have an i910900k, 64GB ram all my drive are ssd or Mvne well above 6 TB total and an RTX 3090 FE but I am told my PC spec are not good enough (Windows insider program settings)
Been on Windows 11 for a while now, unfortunately I have noticed no improvement. SU5 increased the FPS a bit but overall it’s still very laggy and choppy in VR for me (fine in 2d mode though).
I really wish they would take another look at VR. It seems crazy to me that I can run the sim in 2d at 3840x2160 and get better FPS than I get in VR at 2160x1200 (Rift CV1).
I know VR has some extra overhead but that is the same GPU rendering over three times as many pixels in 2d and still getting better FPS than in VR(GPU limited in both situations). Suggests something is very wrong in the rendering pipeline in VR.
Thank you! Now I have to find ways to enter my Bios. I only use SSD or Mvne drives so they boot so fast that I can’t get into my bios anymore. But thanks for sharing anyway
Hammer F2 and/or DEL like there is no tomorrow after you press the power button - usually POST does take a few seconds before the actual boot process starts Depending on your mainboard there could also be a button to directly launch into BIOS.
you must subscribe to windows insider program, go to windows settings, then windows update, then windows insider bottom of the menus and follow the process. Choose Beta which is more stable than Dev but anyway its still a non finalized version, so bugs stay possible, so you must be warned and careful.
If Windows Insider page stays empty, go back to confidentiality settings and check additional diagnostic data and go back to insider it should work.
Download also the tool from microsoft which check the eligibility of ur computer, but you will find it in the process.
Tried updating to windows 11 and even if I have TPM it failed after the reboot with the error code process 1 initialised failed and reverted back to supposedly windows 10.
But here comes the news…the update destoyed my windows 10 version and now have many issues with things not working that I need to format.
Just a tip for those that are trying..if you are not in a desperate situation do not ruin what you have. Still Windows 11 is beta with many bugs.
Ahhhh sorry for all issues but yes, windows 11 is the first beta so there are many risks associated, i wrote some warnings above, maybe not clear enough..
But as they are risks… Its difficult to decide if we do or not..
