One of the bigger AVIATION items deserving some care now that devs have spent so much time fixing and restoring graphics.
Definitely one of those things that needs to be done in MSFS. Voted!
great! that would be fantastic…
must have. voted
Voted for it.
Perhaps there is the next ‘Working Title’-like developers out there who can come up with recognized superior add-in that eventually gets subsumed into the base code of the sim [Like how WorkingTitile has been contracted by Microsoft to make improvements to the navigational universe of MSFS2020]
If the MSFS was trying to be the most popular and professional platform of flightsim, Asobo should be more open and helpful to all the devs, and that’s the future.
Weather and terrain radar are very much integral to flight simming. Voted.
Asobo, start supporting the people that make your game actually good please -_-
It’s a shame that Microsoft / Asobo didn’t think of such things from the start. They haven’t just been following the development of flight simulations since yesterday and should know what is necessary to develop acceptable aircraft.
Yes, I agree, this is very important for 3rd party airplanes. This should be prioritized.
Hope Asobo realizes now that they can’t keep delaying work on weather system indefinitely.
I just watched the newest post about upcoming updates, what I’m trying to say is that this is not a traveling game, this is a SIMULATING game, of course it could be a traveling game but for most of PC players like me, we need SIMULATIONS! What I see now is Asobo has put a lot of efforts on sceneries, graphics which are important as well (Good works Asobo!), but the core of Microsoft Flight Simulator series, is professional aviation simulating, that’s why even the FSX and the P3D has poor visual experiences, people still flying with them, please don’t make this beautiful and stunning platform ended up like the previous one (like Microsoft Flight). The end, I think Asobo is hearing us, and I hope Asobo will make the miracle happen. Like Asobo said in their video, The Sky Is Calling!
Some information on this would be great. I’ve heard that Asobo has stated this will never be allowed? Personally, I’m not buying MSFS until this is available.
I don’t blame you. Things that matter most seem to fall on deaf ears. As long as people are happy with mediocrity, then I don’t think we’ll see a lot of major improvements. Sadly, when people complain here and get shut down by those who talk about how great the sim is in its current state, fewer things get voted up. So the cycle continues.
For me, the sim looks no different than it did on day one. After a year, no real change. That doesn’t impress me when you compare all the talk to what really was implemented at the end of the day.
My guess is it will be a rocky road for another year and then things will sort of balance out. Other sims will be upgraded by then too (prediction), so there will be more options to choose from too.
For now, MSFS is great for VFR, playing around and just enjoying some stick and rudder. Anything beyond that has a loooonnnnggg way to go
I mean it’s pretty stupid to not allow integration of weather sdk into this next gen simulation game.
It would spell alot of actual simmers to stay away from the sim or think about moving away.
It’s almost as if Asobo don’t want modders to bring new and better planes than the arcade style sock planes that are in game.
Just to even get a decent feel for the game I’m having to use fbw cause stock is a plain joke
You want better weather ? You really WANT IT ?
Then you are a Potential paying customer for it, and if MS/Asobo are the only game in town to supply it, you will probably BUY it as a DRM addon from the Ms-Store, as a MS official Addon.
Why give away the Cow, when you can keep it and sell the Milk .
I second that 100% !!!
This game is not a simulation but a money machine. That’s why you need an X-Box version, nice graphics, lots of easy-to-use planes and constantly new content. Aviation details are of no interest to Microsoft because the target group is far too small for that. The same goes for DX12, DLSS and other technical things. We’ll have to wait years if it happens at all.
Atleast PC users will have other options as well, maybe in the form of another sim altogether if it really comes to that. Although I think it’s more a case of misplaced priorities and lack of aviation knowledge with Asobo.
Asobo and Microsoft: do whatever FlyByWire tells you. Thanks to them your sim is not just a very expensive landscaping simulator.
