I know you haven’t been in the forums since August 2020, but if you see this, could you please tell me what this request is about? Put POI markers in the sim? Import them with stars on the World Map?

Yes exactly, like pin the world map with places that you want to visit or that you particularly enjoyed in the sim. And store those in a special collection you can access in bing maps.
Since FS 2020 came out I use bing maps to scout interesting places and then visit them in the sim, so sharing the saved locations between the two apps could be a nice feature.
