EDIT: There was a bug in the initial release where career mode fueling did not work and needed a workaround.
This has now been fixed.
Since the current (now working as intended) fueling of career mode planes has been documented by a reply I have marked it as the current solution for adding fuel in career mode:
ANy solution to this?
I can not figure out how to refill for a 2hr flight.
I’ve tried on the aircraft/customize screen and in the EFB. The airport has no gas service and rolling up next to a gas pump no longer brings up fuel options.
I havent tried it but there is a keybind to “refuel” or “refuel & repair”. Try setting that up and see if it helps. This was a thing in 2020 for bush flying missions where we had similar issues. GL
After setting up a keybind and making sure it was not conflicting w another. It didn’t work…BUT.
In this case I used ALT+R. It did not respond to ALT+R but it DID respond to R+ALT and topped up my fuel.
So not really sure what is going on with keybinding.
Edit: AT this spawn location I am able to request a fuel truck. It arrives but I get no POP UP to refuel. It does nothing.
Only use “ADD FUEL QUANTITY” shortcut and not “REPAIR AND REFUEL”.
Also with “add fuel” don’t top off your tank, refuel just a little bit every now and then. It’s a workaround for now.
BUG FIX TEMP- refuel plane to full or chosen amount - when you load into the mission skip to taxi- will show 43% fuel- restart mission will be full - prevents any crash errors
It’s a nightmare. I bought a Cessna Caravan. I choose a mission of 3 hours and 30 minutes. I refuel it with the rest of the money, it turned out to be + 1/2 to what was in the tanks, that is, under normal conditions this volume would have remained. I select the mission 3 hours and 30 minutes. Then I reload the mission so that the fuel is visible. The instruments show 80% of the tank. The mission is upwind. As a result, 10 miles before the airfield, the tanks are empty, I decide to use Alt+R and get an error. Mission failed, three hours spent, 66 cr. on the account. which is not enough to refuel the plane again. How can you play like that?
I got it working by adding a keyboard binding. During the missions I’m using it in the way to add some fuel if it gets lower than about 15-20%. Works fine for me without any crashes. I used it in two career flights with a Cessna 208B.
BTW: I had some trouble finding the correct function. If you are using German as language, search for “Treibstoffmenge hinzufügen”:
