In career mode. MSFS25 must have a voodoo doll for my airplanes

I created a Flightseeing company as soon as I was given the opportunity and did contract work till I could afford a plane. My first was a Cessna 172, based at close to home Deer Vallley Airport in Phoenix, AZ. The problem was all available flight seeing missions that day started at McGill Ultralight field a mile away when it last existed about 30 years ago. The ultralight name tells you the runways are short, but all the missions there start at a runway that points to a mountain with a gap at 10 oclock with respect to the runway. With flaps full down and parking brake on till the engine runs up, I was able to get off the ground but not with enough room to maneuver through the gap. I sold the crashed plane, earned enough for a CTSL Flight design. That plane could handle the short runway followed by a sharp left, but it stalled during a mission and crashed. By this time I was about to give up on the career mode, but had enough experience so I could make some real credits with crop dusting. Four of those gigs is enough to buy a Zlin Norden. I avoided McGill and paid the 500 transfer credits to take a job in Wickenburg Take off was fine, did the climb then skipped to the sightseeing. I slewed to an aircraft going full speed up the side of a mountain, with the advisor telling me this was not a place to land. Is freelance career mode fully developed or are the crashes a way of releasing code under construction?

Personal Comments and Observations

Projecting the future! :slightly_smiling_face: Hopefully Career will be kinder to all at that point.

I am wondering why you persevered with just that 1 airport? (That’s if I understand your post correctly) Why didn’t you open up areas closer to you on the map or just pay the small transfer fee when you initially started.
Are you ok now or can we help in any way?

KDVT is the closest airport to me and I have to admit that I have ties to it from my career in Avionics with Honeywell. Our test bed was based there and I frequented the airport for the company or walked over back in the day when one hour lunches were the norm. I do not have to pay damages because the Norden is never damaged after these crashes. There may be a bug with skipping to with that aircraft however. I took on another flight seeing assignment and had to transfer my aircraft again. Take off was fine, but when I skipped to sightseeing. I was full speed on the ground again.

Third mission at a third airport does the same thing, Reporting the bug!

Some aircraft in missions don’t like skipping. You may need to do the full walkround and startup. Don’t skip to taxi. Happy flying

Tried again. This is another mission that started at Scottsdale Airport, and I paid the transfer costs as before. Although my plane is based at Deer Valley Airport, none of the missions originate there. I did not skip and flew the whole mission and was on approach when I get a Mission failed airplane crashed message, BUT I DID NOT CRASH and was in the pattern. I am beginning to believe that freelance career mode is not fully developed and rather than being forthright with “Under Construction” notification, your aircraft is made to fail. Has anyone successfully completed a freelance assignment?

I just did a first flight mission successfully. Perhaps only the flightseeing missions have the bug.
