In-game panel shows up when moving the mouse cursor

Today I’ve witnessed an issue I haven’t seen before. As soon as I move the mouse cursor, the in-game panel becomes visible on the screen which interferes with using the left mouse button to operate switches and buttons in the cockpit. Normally, this only happens when you move the cursor to the middle top position of the screen where the in-game panel shows up.

The in-game panel is not expanded, I just see the little line with the arrow at the top of the screen as seen below.

Anyone else had this issue and found a cure for it?

I guess restarting MSFS would be the first thing to try but I’ll try to manage this session since I don’t really have the time nor energy to start all over again.

It’s always worked like that IIRC. Ive always used a mod to get rid of it

I’m not fully sure now when you mention it, maybe the in-game panel arrow pops up just by moving the mouse but still, something is very off today. Based on how I’m not able to interact normally with the buttons and switches.

Also when switching to VR, it’s even more weird. In VR when moving the mouse cursor, the arrow turns into a white dot and I’m not able to pretty much do anything. Because when the white dot appears, I’m no longer able to move the cursor. Let alone trying to manipulate any switches etc.

Guess I’ll have to start all over and hopefully, this problem will go away…sigh…

Thanks but I never had to use any tools before and never saw this white dot before.

Luckily, restarting MSFS solved the issue and things are back to normal. So whatever was causing it, it was a temp issue and I guess I’ll never know what the actual culprit was.

Thanks anyway.

In game panel is otherwise known as the “toolbar”

Put this in your Community folder and you’ll never see the handlebar again. Despite its age, it still works perfectly in the current sim.
