In VR cockpit most of time NOT clickable

When I am in VR in a cockpit sometimes its clickable.
Mostly however not.
Restart of flight or new flight does not help.

When I come in de cockpit of 2020 planes i am with my face into the dashboard. Then its clickable.
Going to pilot postion its all lost and nothing is working.

Or I come in at Pilot position and its working
I leave cockpit for outside view or to avatar come in and its broken again.

So not a clear case or sequence of steps can be given to reproduce this bug.
I have many things assigned to controllers but sometimes not yet that nasty switch I need to complete a mission.
Or to interact with all the MFD in the cockpits

Try clicking the scroll wheel on your mouse. This enables or disables the “hand” cursor.

I know but its a bug it should not have to be this way in VR.
Its not how it works in MSFS2020.
There its pops up straight when called upon

You have multiple monitors?

Or are you using dialog menus frequently?

Both are crippling bugs in the initial release of MSFS 2024 for VR.

After a year or so of no issues, I’m getting this bug now in SU 4 beta. In VR the clickable mouse wheel no longer does anything, I used to be able to use the mouse to click on buttons and switches, now it seems to need me to use the quest 3 hand controller, which is nowhere near precise enough for me to turn dials and press buttons in the air. Never had this issue before. SU4 seems to have reset some of the controls. How to get it back?

I’ve found in this SU4 that to use the scroll wheel button you need to leave it depressed for a second or so not just a quick click. It still works. There’s just a delay.

thats not working for me, keeping mouse wheel pressed for >1sec still nothing. I can see the mouse cursor moving on the monitor screen but not in vr. I found the mouse/vr setting - toggle interactionbut that doesnt seem to do anything either. Strange as ive never had this issue before SU4.

Note: in VR the mouse is also disabled for the menu bars & options, Im not a fan of the VR hand controller overriding the mouse. I want my mouse cursor back!!

I have observed that the mouse issues are not just apparent in VR but also in 2D flying especially flying the Fenix A320. When altering heading, altitude, speed, VS bugs using the scroll wheel the mouse will suddenly go into cockpit zoom mode and the cursor turns to the hand and you have to click the mouse right button to return the arrow cursor and continue. When that happens, the view jumps for a second. It makes it really difficult to set values and then click the scroll wheel button to go to managed mode. I can always get there but when this happens at critical time sensitive times such as final approach, it can cause a botched flight. It seems as if something has really changed in this SU on mouse behavior.

Now, since I’m noticing this in the Fenix, it could be that changes to the sim will require Fenix to address this. They have a tendency though to give very little real support during beta testing.

I’m having the same issue in VR since sim update 3. The mouse pointer takes several attempts to interact with a switch or dial in a number of planes, and it’s fundamentally ruining my experiences with the sim whilst it persists as it’s massively frustrating

Just posted this in the SU4 thread, but if your mouse is there, but not clicking on anything, try to exit VR, use the mouse to click on something, then re-enter VR.

For me, I can launch into a free flight, get to the “Ready to Fly” screen, but I’m unable to click on the button. IF I exit VR, click on the “Ready to Fly” button, then engage VR, everything starts working again. The support team has logged the issue, but it’s part of the SU4 Beta.

Hope this helps those having similar issues.
