Inaccurate Turning Radius and Poor Braking on various Default Aircraft!

Yes, I have noticed some tricky elements of bumpouts. Most of the time they work as expected, but sometimes the sim thinks I have gone onto a taxiway without approval, which gives me a penalty.

So I worked around this by mapping a couple of buttons on my controller to left/right brakes. remaining issue is that if I hold either the aircraft doesn’t move; if I rapidly press one it will turn around that wheel.

The ability to map left/right brakes to an axis - or maybe tie to steering in some way would help.

Workarounds are great. But it requires you to treat the plane unrealistically. Which defeats the whole purpose of accurate simulation. So they need to get it fixed. I don’t see how any pilot tested the ground physics on those aircraft and said “yh, they’re good for release”

This seems like such an easy thing to fix and its one reason why I liked the WB Sims version of the plane. Unfortunately Sims decided not to make it usable in 2024 so we will have to hope Asobo does make a change.

Tested Cessna Caravan multiple times, the issue has not been solved yet
 moreover when you release the parking breakes during taxi, the plane starts accelerating unrealistically, and you can’t stop it quickly because breakes are not enough effective. I crashed 2 times in the apron against a building making taxi maneuvering after landing!

@CARNEMORTA18

I have no problem when braking and turning. Make sure that the condition lever is in low idle, when the aircraft is on the ground.
High idle is used only when airborne, specifically at touch down where the reverser is used to bring down the speed (not the brakes!).
Allow the aircraft to decelerate to almost stand still, add a little bit of throttle to leave reverser mode and select low idle. Now you can use the brakes and turn as you like without damaging the aircraft.

Ummm. You don’t have to bring smaller aircraft to almost a stand still to turn them. There is no special technique needed to turn an 172 aircraft around on a 50 foot wide runway. In the sim its almost impossible. If you’ve ever taxied a real aircraft it’s very obvious alot of aircraft in the sim take too much effort in order to turn. So Asobo this issue it definitely not fixed. Please fix it soon.

Irritated me so much, that i use the FS20 version of the caravan and i went into CFG file to tweak the FS20 taxi parameters. It’s a shame i can’t tweak the FS24 version, and it also has a weird wobble when decelerating.

According C208 and C152, 172 manual, plane is able to make turn almost around spot of main wheel if brake and some additional thrust is applied.
Now at 2024 SU2, we are unable to do that not even close. THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED.
