IndiaFoxtEcho F35 Lightning

And yet, I have zero of the issues you mentioned but I literally cannot get off the ground in the B model without it crashing the sim. Very odd.

Thanks, see that in manual now, its not very clear, that wing lights button assignment will activate the STOVL mode…. Was not sure what they were talking about..

Thanks for the clarification!!!

Had first CTD, after about 45 minutes flight..

Map “Toggle Parking Brake” to a key on your HOTAS.

Hi. Thanks for your reply. Can you write how?

Took my new F35 up out of reno. Made a couple circuits getting familiar with it checking out the multi displays. Flew for about 20 min then CTD!!!
Very disappointing. :frowning:

its DX11
Checked all my settings for as on modern
I Have all of indiafoxtecho planes and the F104 and F16 no problems with any of the them

Nevermind its dx12!
Should be dx 11 ?

Dx11 is more stable

all my crashes were with dx11. Judging by the volume of replies in this thread being crashes, I would say there is something wrong with this addon.

My B flew fine; I got the CTD when I tried to go back to the main menu (after getting a little frisky and conducting a high speed uncontrolled landing in a yacht club’s basin).

Running on DX11 w/ Nvidia driver 497.29 and twice CTD. I was excited about this aircraft too. It has been a while since I had a CTD until flying the F35.

Two more flights before the CTD reappeared, this time as I was turning the lights off after parking.

Obviously the crashes are bad, but other than that, it’s a really nice plane…

Sorry, but this release is recent release of the F-35 is buggy. Frames rates good, no stuttering but after about 10 minutes in area without much complexity the F-35 froze MSFS. Something seriously wrong with this new F-35 release that needs fixing. Hasn’t been fully tested, that is clear. My hardware is sufficient for running MSFS and I’ve not seen crashes like this with any other aircraft, even the complex ones like the DC-6.

Add me to the list of customers who are experiencing CTDs with this F-35. Both the A and B model. Haven’t tried the C model yet.

Think I will hold off until these crashes which have been going on for a while now even in testing get sorted out.

That’s probably prudent. But if you can handle the crashes (for me, they were both after landing, so the flight itself was uninterrupted), the VTOL is a blast to use. If this is really how the F-35 works, it’s clear that the US military is attempting to idiot-proof their aircraft… (Or at least avoid the copious amount of training the Harrier requires of its pilots.)

I haven’t flown the A, but the C is a solid aircraft too. Even though it’s the “slow” one, it’s still blindingly quick to accelerate. In both flights (B and C) I found myself accidentally breaking the sound barrier, because I didn’t expect that much power.

I hope IFE (or Asobo) figures out these crash issues quickly, because it’s really a great product otherwise.

Flew the B with a friend all over Texas sight seeing, in and out of hover mode, and the thing flew great. Flew over Daly Plaza and visited the grassy knoll, the Cowboys stadium, went to the stockyards where they have the cattle auctions and the awesome BBQ, Visited the Lockheed Martin facility where they make these…it flew great for 1:45 mins no crashes for me. My buddy crashed to desktop when he went to open the VFR map, 140 minutes into it.

Super fun plane, hope they get the thing fixed for everyone soon!

Flew the Discus glider in the alps for about the same amount of time on one flight. No CTD’s.

Just finished a flight whit empty community folder, did fly for an hour, but CTD when shutting down at airport.

Add me to the CTD bandwagon. Empty Community folder, no extarnal programs running. Getting CTDs in all variants at different times. Running DX11 and at different places. Was hoping my setup would be alright as it’s only used for the flight sim.

Will keep trying to find a solution.
