InHg to QNH in all planes helps

Can only one help me out?
I don’t like using InHg in my planes on 2020 all my planes were QNH. What the ATC uses. In 2024 it’s InHg & I have no clue what to put in.

I’ve tried the PFD but it uses something else but doesn’t update the knob it’s still InHg it’s driving me crazy.

I have the opposite problem, I’m using the Zlin Savage Norden and the altimeter is in QNH, I don’t know how to change it to InHG.

Right I have no clue I clicked on every button in the plane.

Hi, isn’t there an option in the settings where you can choose which units of measurement to use? FS2020 has it, 24 not so?

Regards, Frank

Just running into this problem in one of the Cessnas that will actually work in 2024 Deluxe version. The 172 will not even start up for me. Anyhow, I want to find the airports that I am at’s inhg value since it seems to be the only one that I can use at the moment. where can I find it ,anyone know?

What do you mean? If this altimeter was in inHg it would read “QNH 30.06 inHg”. I recommend looking up what Q codes are.

Because in some planes this option is not available. Such a shame releasing them this way.

Setting your altimeter to QNH simply means it’s being set to read above sea level. Weather that’s in inHg or hPa doesn’t matter.

Some planes have the ability to switch the barometer measurement from inHg to hPa and some do not. The ATC gives you the barometer measurement type based on where you are in the world. In the US they will give you inHg and in Europe they give hPa.
You can use a conversion table to get the plane set to the right pressure setting if it is incompatible with what atc is giving you.

Avionics I’m familiar with…

G1000 NXi…

PFD Opt → ALT Units

G3000 / 5000…

PFD Settings → Down (press twice) → Baro Select Units

G3X…

Menu (press twice and then you should see Main Menu) → Swipe the screen down → Setup → Units → Baro Pressure

Pro Line 21…

PFD Menu → Menu ADV - > Config - > Push Select → Pressure

Typo sorry, I meant hPa not QNH.

It’s a digital instrument display so I assume it’s supposed to display the units you have it configured for. The avionics has a units setting but it doesn’t reflect on the altimeter. and neither does the overall one in MSFS settings

If that’s just how it is I guess it is what it is but I thought there’s a chance it’s a bug.

No worries!

Thanks you very much
