The speed type set change cyclically between MACH and SPEED, it is randomly change, sometimes 2-3x per second with random time gaps. Same change is on AP controls up panel where same indication change without to click button SPD/MACH. I have not observed this problem after initial start of descent to ARR procedure, only at destination/cruising altitude/FL.
Very sry, so much BUGs in this SU5!!! Really frustrated with them all…
FREQUENCY OF ISSUE
How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?
Every time.
REPRODUCTION STEPS
Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:
start flight
reach cruising altitude/FL
check PFD/AP panel indications randomly change.
YOUR SETTINGS
If the issue still occurs with no mods and add-ons, please continue to report your issue. If not, please move this post to the User Support Hub.
What peripherals are you using, if relevant:
[PC Only] Are you using Developer Mode or have you made any changes to it?
[PC, MSFS 2020 Only] Are you using DX11 or DX12?
[PC Only] What GPU (Graphics Card) do you use?
[PC Only] What other relevant PC specs can you share?
This doesn’t sound like a bug from your description. It is likely switching between MACH and SPD on the FMA indication on your PFD as your speed is varying slightly, right on the border between your programmed speeds in the MCDU. I would advise looking at the PERF page of your MCDU and seeing what your cruising speed is. In this scenario if you increased the speed to mach .75 or greater you’d probably stay in MACH. In this instance you are at .744 mach, which would convert to roughly 285 knots at your present altitude of FL290.
Will try next flight then. What is more interesting, I have never this situation previously, with lets say hundreds of flights, interesting…
I have also very strange situation at departure, AP absolutely doesn’t follow DEP path, no possible change from HDG to AUTO NAV following option. I’ve disconnect AP, all things and after that all was possible to set correctly. ???
I’d recommend spending some time watching some of the many YouTube tutorials on the aircraft type to see if there may be something in your setup of the aircraft that could be causing this issue. I’ve personally never experienced this myself.
Sry, I don’t have the taste to create another new bug Topic!
Look pls to that path calculation to final via 2 waypoints heh This is the same as I have one time in FS2020 history and I have never observed quite long time!
also typical step to put this to User support Hub. Look, this isn’t my first flight with this type of bird. You can easy check my next post to give me tip or step (maybe for Youtube) where I can find so my aircraft will calculate this app path correctly. Pls guys be kind wait for sure that users will check and can say opibions to reports…
I don’t know, it is normal that after each SU we will check and test all things from their base functionality to more hard capabilities again to know all is ok??? Really I start to have frisustration just like in FS2020 times…
As noted in my first response, I imagine the issue you are having is expected behaviour and not a bug, as explained in my description of the logic of the Airbus aircraft. Moving this thread to the User Support Hub allows the forum community to help provide support and hopefully help point you in the right direction to learn some new elements of the A320, which is a complex airliner.
If there are enough reports from the community of any logic that does not seem correct, it is very simple for us to move this thread back to the Bug Reporting Hub.
