ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
MSFS 2024 freezes after entering and selecting DIR TO in the MCDU.

no, only SimBriefEFBApp installed

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. MCDU
  2. DIR
  3. Enter VERED
  4. press MCDU softkey L1 to accept the input
  5. press L1 again to select entered DIR TO
  6. MSFS 2024 freezes, audio continues runnin’

There is already a thread about this from FS2020.
Known for a long time now and obviously they just ported the bug to FS2024 instead of fixing, great…

Today I had the next two freezes with iniBuilds A320neo v2. The first occured immediately after activating the secondary flightplan, and the second one just while looking around in the cockpit (using TrackIR):

By the way, it is not only the A320’s that tends to freeze.
Just had it on the A400, although it is rare.
Again happended during interacting with the flightplan, choosing the arrival.
See screenshot, buttons are still clickable but all displays frozen (compare horizon to PFD…)

Today I encountered the 4th freeze at the 4th flight from EDDW to LKPR. Again in the approach phase, shortly prior landing. This time the freeze happened after switching from the cockpit to the external camera. My MSFS totally locks up when those freezes happens, and I have to kill the MSFS task via Windows Taskmanager. Unbelieveable…

• When entering the flight plan in the FMC (or whatever it is called on Airbus), all screens freeze. There is no way to bring them back. Just restarted the Xbox and the simulator, but still happens.

this has been going on for a long time in all ini’s planes and in the 747 and the ATR, i hoped 2024 would fix this

Next (5th) flight from EDDW to LKPR, and the next freeze. Again in the approach phase, about 5 NM from ILS “PR” and VOR “OKR”! I didn’t do anything special - I just looked around in the cockpit (TrackIR). This can’t be true! What’s goin’ on here?

Prior this flight I totally cleared my community folder, so the MSFS 2024 was in vanilla state.

• No, but I have freezes on exiting the flight after entering a route using the EFB

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
• Go to Free Flight

  • Select the A320(V2)
  • Set up a flight on the EFB (eg EGKK to EDDM).
  • Click on Find Route.
  • Send the plan to ATC and to the Avionics using the appropriate buttons in the EFB.
  • Enter the flight.
  • On the Flight Computer, import the flight by clicking Request on the Init menu.
  • Press ESC to exit the flight, and choose Exit to Main Menu.
    This causes my computer to freeze 100% of the time, sometimes after the Main Menu has appeared, sometimes before.

The plane always freezes when typing on fmc

freezes for me when i pan outside the cockpit,ongoing issue,also im getting a lot more ctds exception code 0xc0000005 ive tried everything google can throw at me to no avail,nothing in my community folder
