ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
Cannot create pop up windows from PFD, MFD, upper or lower ECAM or MCDU in A330 and Beluga XL.

In fact even the cursor does not change its form to a hand when you move it over the mentioned screens. Pressing AltGr + click does nothing.

The EFB keeps this functionality and can be popped out as normal.

• Popping out the PFD and MFD is simple for most aircraft, including the Airbus A320, Cessna Longitude, Daher 930, etc., by hovering the arrow over the display on the main screen and pressing RIGHT ALT. But does not work on Airbus A330. Why not??? Without this facility, it’s nearly impossible to fly the A330 since you can’t use a 2nd screen for the instruments.

The NB and EFD problem has been fixed, but the panel controls no longer work. None of the controls work on any of the aircraft, at least not on the commercial aircraft, one thing has been fixed and one thing has gone wrong. If this happens to other people I would like someone to help me. I hope it will be solved soon

Not fixed in SU1… :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

yeah, can confirm, still an issue

I’ve discovered a way. On Boeing 747s, load the 737 Max first and uninstall the screens, then go to the main menu and load the 747 again. The same goes for the A330 and Beluga, but with the A350 inibuilds. Uninstall both the left and right PFDs. Enjoy

By uninstall the above poster means, pop out the screens on the A350.

I just tried the same in the A350, then reloading with the A330 and it works. So this functionality does exsist, it seems to be an issue where while in the A330 its not picking up that you are keying the Right ALT button to launch the popout. This definitly needs to be fixed. I tried it with the A350, and can get almost all the screens to display popped out in the A330, however missing a few such as lower/upper ecam, and MCDU. Tried with the A310, same thing works, just not the right screens. Tried with the INI A320 as the screens in theory would be the same but this does not work, it expands/chops up the PFD accross all the popouts. MSFS you need to fix this!

So I hate limping through the sim like this, but I have a workaround

Spawn into the PC-24 (or probably the PC-12, anything with the Primus Epic 2 avionics) and pop out all of the available panels, including:

  • Left PFD
  • Right PFD
  • Upper MFD
  • Lower MFD
  • Touchscreen Control Panel
  • Backup PFD

End the flight without closing these panel windows and then load into your flight with any of the A330 variants. You should find that those popups remained open and are now showing the instrument panels for the A330.

While it’s not consistent which display correlates with which between the Epic 2 and Airbus systems, you should have everything from the Airbus represented on at least one of the Epic 2 panels. Simply close the ones you don’t need and leave the rest.
