iniBuilds A350 coming in 2024

British Avgeek has a 7 part series on youtube on how to fly this beauty. Episode 3 starts at around the 5 minute mark, on how to turn it on.

Look for a button on the planes keypad next to the throttles, called surveillance. I think it’s written as “SURV” , the lower display will change to the proper page to turn it on. There’s a little box you click on that puts it onto Auto Mode, plus another spot to turn on TA/RA.

Some do, some don’t. Just like some people are happy the default Asobo 737 MAX while others (me) are desperately awaiting a ‘24 compatibility patch from iFly.

That said, I think it’s frankly pretty unprofessional for a developer to post negatively about a competitor. It smacks not only of elitism and gatekeeping, but also of sour grapes. Just do great work and let it speak for itself. Keep the digs and grumbles internal to your own team. Most developers have a policy about this, on their forums and in their Discord servers, and for good reason.

I love this tireless guy. I just scribbled this down.

Is there cabin lights visible from the external view on the 2020 version?

Yeah, I agree with your comment. Also lets be real if Fenix released an A350, most of us would buy it anyways. Even though my poor computer probably wouldn’t be able to run it without lag. Sour grapes is definitely the key phrase here.

Cheers to iniBuilds love my new A350!

If permission is given from Airbus which it probably was, given the Airliner in question would not of gotten away with it and Rolls Royce would of had to of been asked asked as well. There is nothing confidential about Airbus systems that would affect flight simmers, as with all of these planes even Flight Factor and their 777V2 which is made by a Type Rated 777 Pilot even the most hard core flight sim dev’s will never be able to code 1:1 but as I have said before using Type rated pilots they will know the expected outcome and the dev’s code towards that outcome until the Type Rated Pilot says it “Feels” right.

I know who started all this the Airbus A350 is so confidential and it is one of the biggest pieces of Flight Sim Misinformation going around. How have FBW done the A380 then? it is the same thing on a similar Avionics platform. X-Plane has had an A350 for 10 years. There is much stuff in the avionics that even pilots do not touch, there is no need to be concerned with that. Toliss add-ons all carry the Airbus official logo, PMDG same with Boeing I think if you ask and go through the proper channels you will receive, the real question is how deep do you want to go.

Not bought this (yet) but can anyone enlighten me as to what avionics wise difference I’d notice between this and the FBW A380. They both look quite similar. Both have simlilar FMCs and both have OANS/BTV. Anything unique about the A350 that stands out?
IMO it’s a tad on the expensive side for an Ini airbus, but I may be convinced at some point although I’ve not yet had enough use out of the FBW A380 or the pmdg 777 yet to justify another long range aircraft.

Why “shocking”?
Developers may need to do a significant amount of work to,port their aircraft across properly to work on MSFS2024. The promises made by the game developers about backwards compatibility were more in hope than in reality.
I dont think we should criticise third, party aircraft developers for making a reasonable charge to port their products across. That just wouldn’t be reasonable

Actually that information was from Mathijs at Aerosoft. They tried to get them several times. With their professional relationship with Airbus I trust his word. Some seem to forget that they do B2B sims too.

As for FF. Well Aerosoft had an explanation for that too but that is for another forum. Intellectual Property isn’t really taken seriously in that Country.

In the DCS universe, the analogous argument is, “No one can do a modern aircraft, It’S aLl ClAsSiFiEd!!!” Except that now Eagle Dynamics has announced not only a modern fighter, but an F-35 - the absolute pinnacle of this kind of argument. They posted a long read about it and noted that despite the rumors and internet experts’ opinions to the contrary, there’s a plethora of open-source, non-confidential and non-classified data sources out there, sufficient to model the aircraft and its systems to a high degree of accuracy, and certainly well enough for a consumer entertainment sim.

I think that’s akin to the A350 situation here. There are documents galore if you go look, plenty of IRL pilots willing to help serve as consultants, as well as trained systems engineers, mechanics, etc. Is the simulated aircraft running actual Airbus code under the hood? Of course not. But does it do the correct Airbus-like things when you press the buttons or move the stick? THAT is what matters to consumers.

The pmdg 737 is getting a 2024 makeover too. Its not just a paid for port. I for one will likely pay for the upgrade for one variant at least.

To be more precise.

Inibuilds obviously had access to the Pilots.

Still. One thing with “Open source” information, another with getting access to actual Drawings without Airbus permission. Hard to believe that any serious airliner would do that without asking Airbus.

Well. One of my first posts on this forum, was asking for a 350. Now I got it. I am happy. If Fenix decides to take a shot then I am open :). (we still have the freeware version coming too).

But Fenix could always see if they can scan a 330 meanwhile. That is still missing.

I dont know what to respond. You go, you know it all.

That Special A330 worked out really well!! What country and what are you trying to say? FF carries the official Boeing Seal and is also allowed to distribute the 777 FCOM with its plane.

I think you should change your Tech Alpha to Conspiracy theorist! because I fear you have been brainwashed, Aerosoft said…

What I hear is, there is general pattern that FPS on MSFS2020 is worse off than Fenix, which itself is not great by the way.

One of the simplest yet most captivating liveries that looks stunning on every Airbus especially this jewel

I find the A350 very close to A380 as far as setting up and flying routes. So if you have some good experience flying the FBW A380 you shoukd be very comfortable flying yhis A350. Mind you the A350 is much more detailed with more functionality than the A380. I find ground handling to be very very good and the she flies beautifully too!

I’m only on FS2020 and I’m just too worried about performance to buy this. I was planning to though, but now I think I’ll wait. I fly with BATC traffic mostly from big payware airports (RKSI, VHHH, etc), and with what I’m reading about 2020 performance it’s not for me.

I’m on 7800x3D, 4070 12gb and 32 gb ram. Frame gen on.

But its price is not average. It costs like PMDG or Fenix or even more, which IMO is too much for this level of fidelity. I bought it but it’s overpriced.

With those specs you won’t have any problems, as long as you’re only running the sim in 2K. I am getting near 30 FPS with an RTX3060, Ryzen 7 5700G and 16 Gb RAM with no FG.
