iniBuilds A350

I have just had this as well, trying to set up a flight from Inbuilds Heathrow. I’ve cleared the WASM and still get this as soon as i start enter the runway. I’ve also uninstalled and reinstalled the BA livery as well. Never had a WASM crash until update v1.2.0.

Better to have it at the start than after 6h of flight ;).

I’m still sticking with V1.1.6 as 7,8,9 and 2.0 still have livery compatibility issues in 2020 showing only the fuselage interior when outside with most of my favourite liveries.I really like the A350 but sometimes wish I had not paid for it and stayed with my non paid version.lol.

Purchased the 350 via Marketplace on Boxing Day in MSFS 2020 and can’t find any working 3rd party liveries that work with the latest version (1.1.6). Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Edit 1: turns out the Marketplace version is out of date, not the livieries. Any ETA for a the version update to hit marketplace users? Seems like iniBuilds released 1.1.7 on November 21st, and 1.2.0 on Dec 18th…

Edit 2: Inibuilds allow users to transfer Marketplace purchases to their inBbuilds manager app to get around the super slow Marketplace update cadence: iniBuilds Forms :folded_hands:

Frustrating. I’m just about to give up on it for today. FS2024, A350 V1.2

I had my first WASM crash ever on New Year day and on every single flight since.

Never had issues before, no changes to my system or the sim but suddenly WASM crash mid-flight.

Last night I didn’t even get the orange screens. The cockpit was simply frozen while the aircraft slowly turned and dipped into the ocean.

I’ve had WASM crash now on RJ, 737, A350, E190. A restart usually fixes it, but for how long? Asobo really needs to recognise & address this issue.

Yes, restarting is literally restarting WASM as well.

But your 10h flight is lost and so will be the next as it will crash again, so currently it seems impossible for me to complete a flight which is new to me, as I did not experience it before while it is a 100% now for the A350 and 3h+ flights.

All of my wasm crashes so far have been at the gate before takeoff but I generally only do 2hr flights so this doesn’t give me confidence for doing longer ones. That is sad. But this wasm crash seems to be happening with other airliners/devs and other platforms too. It really is a showstopper for many though.

PMDG who’s 737 has been affected to mention it in an update last week.
”We have also brought in some memory management techniques that had some success in the 777 program to reduce the rate of instance for WASM crashes that seem to plague MSFS 2024”

So it would appear to be a wider sim based issue. But where is the big long thread about it? why do some users not encounter it?

If you have the experimental version of ChasePlane for MSFS 2024 installed, uninstall it and check if the WASM crashes still occur. I don’t have ChasePlane for MSFS 2024, and I’m not experiencing any WASM crashes.

I don’t have ChasePlane at all.

I dont have chaseplane and never had it.

I never had a WASM crash before 3 days ago.

And it really puzzles me as I made no changes to my system or the sim, and yet I get that crash on every flight with the A350 after 3 to 4 hours.

My only other longhaul AC is the FBW A380 so I can not say wether the WASM crash is limited to the A350 or not.

My Fenix A320 works well, but then again this is mainly used for short flights of under 3 hours.

I know that WASM crashes are plaguing the community for a long time, but so far I was lucky not bein affected.

But I dont get how this can show up with the new year, when there was absolutely nothing changed on my end.

Reminds me of the “millennium bug” :joy:

I’ve said this on another thread, but I’ve had this happen (admittedly intermittently) on my old PC (Su4 beta), new PC, and from reading another thread other people see this too on XBox and Ps5, on various airliners RJ, E190, 737, A350 (and devs). In my case nearly always at the gate (phew), one flight it will crash but next it’s fine, so intermitent, no common instigating cause. In my case it’s only been happening since SU4 was released. I really think they need to do some kind of debug of this issue. Not sure if Ini (along with other devs) should be pressing Asobo on this (maybe they are), but it’s not in an acceptable state right now.

Seems like we are hardly alone with WASM crashes with the A350. Search for “WASM crash” on their Discord yields lots of posts about it. No answers sadly.

@BragRaindrop933 @Wined2310
I’m currently flying from KLAX to CYVR in the iniBuilds A350 + SPADneXt, everything is running fine so far - I’ll keep an eye on it to see if I get any WASM crashes. Earlier I flew the PMDG 777-200ER and didn’t have any WASM crashes either.

I’m not sure Discord is the right place for reporting bugs or giving proper feedback. I personally treat Discord more as a communicator and, at most, a place for small help (we used to have Xfire back in the day - “the old guys” will remember  ).

For actual feedback or bug reporting, support or the official Inibuilds forum is the right way to go. I recommend checking the thread about WASM crashes first.

After that, you can create a new thread on their forum in the feedback section and include all the required information.

I’m really surprised there isn’t a more general WASM crash thread on here already. Just one on Ini airliners (default in sim on xbox). It’s not really about the A350 per se as it would seem to be happening across airliners/devs (randomly).

Very strange, I fly all these aircraft you have mentioned fairly regularly and had no such WASM crashes so far (touch wood). I believe you use GSX? I don’t. Daft question, have you tried without? You probably have, just throwing stuff at the wall to see if it helps!

I’ve not tried without mods, but they are all a fresh install (new PC). I also haven’t been using them when I see most wasm crashes. So it’s (for me) nearly always at the gate as I’m setting up the FMC or something like that. So GSX is there but not being used at the time. So no animated passengers or loading going on at the time. I may end up removing things, but as it’s random in nature it’s hard to debug. Also seems better on initial sim load in but not on say sequential flights in same sim session.

Fair play. Do you use Navigraph? Have you checked everything is updated in the Navigraph Hub?

Everything is up to date in navigraph hub. About the only thing that isn’t updating correctly is Windows 11 which refuses to install 25H2 properly (it says it has but doesn’t and remains on 24H2). So I’m in a forever loop of trying to install it. But that may not have anything to do with WASM. Maybe I’ll try uninstalling FSUIPC which I recently installed for using with PACX.

It’s not reproducable in any airliner it just seems to randomly happen. (with all of the airliners I use).

Yet plently of good flights to be had inbetween wasm crashes too. But usually best chances are after a sim reboot.

I was seeing these on my old PC before Christmas too, but to a lesser extent, and not on the A350 funnily enough.
