iniBuilds A400M Atlas: wrong Cargo capacity

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
The A400M should actually have a cargo capacity of 37t or roughly 82000lbs, the maximum that can actually be set in the EFB is about half of that at about 43000lbs, i.e. about 20t, which is a whole 17t short.

If applicable, which aircraft is experiencing this issue:

Thank you for the bug report.

We have created an internal ticket to see if our team already has this logged, and if not they will attempt to reproduce the issue and create a new bug report. This item is now marked as feedback-logged. If there is an existing bug report or one is created, we will move this thread to bug-logged.

iniBuilds A400M Atlas: wrong Cargo capacity checked and this error persists after SU2

In beta version 1.5.3.0 (beta 3) it is also not solved. I created a support ticket in February and this was the first reaction from IniBuild on this:

Do you have any official source for the weights? As one of our testers that is an A400M pilot didn’t pick up on the weight? The weights you have provided can be subject to different configurations

And in the support ticket i had already sent this information:

https://www.raf.mod.uk/aircraft/current-aircraft/atlas-c1-a400m

There are no sources for the data they are using except the fact that their tester didnt realize it was wrong, sounds very reasonable. I dont know of one source that provides different data than what you sent them, the Bundeswehr makes the same claims as the RAF.

As an OnAir user i hope they finally get off their ■■■ and fix this, i m also curious what the effects of the wrong weight will be when the plane comes out for internal MSFS career mode.

They have adjusted it, but after the release of SU3, it still does not seem to be correct.
Before the change, 17t were missing and now 6t are still missing from the 37t that the aircraft should actually have.

I would wager the original error was based on the restrictions in the EASA A400M TDCS from 2013, as, from 2003 to the end of testing and it entering military service it operated under a Restricted Type Certificate, as it was ostensibly civilian, and 2013 was the last TCDS which has long since lapsed, as later ones are not publicly available given service entry and the auspices that in-service military aircraft operate under.

the outdated 2013 Restricted Type Certificate data was:
empty weight 90000kg (198416 lb)

MZFW 109600kg (241626 lb)

MLW 121500kg (267861 lb) [<600ft/min]

MTOW 137500kg (303135 lb)

MTW 137900kg (304017 lb)

which are all out of date numbers vs public facing data from Airbus and operators, likewise the now pulled later TDCS that was from 2018\19 or so that I remember reading.

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:

Using the iniBuilds aircraft EFB to increase the payload of the A400M, the payload does not increase once the slider is moved beyond 99600kg.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?

Every time you use it.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Load into sim. Go to aircraft EFB fuel & payload. Drag slider to far left and hit apply load, note empty payload of 78600kg,

  2. Drag slider to 99600kg and hit apply load, note payload of 99600kg.

  3. Drag slider to far right value of 109600kg and hit apply load. Payload remains at 99600kg.

YOUR SETTINGS

[PC Only] Are you using Developer Mode or have you made any changes to it?

Used dev mode to show aircraft values only.

[PC Only] What other relevant PC specs can you share?

none, pc specs don’t matter in this case.

MEDIA

Please add a screenshot or video of the issue occurring.

Is it the same issue than reported here ?: iniBuilds A400M Atlas: wrong Cargo capacity

Might be, I can’t read the text in the images in that post. Can you merge this into that post if they are?

Hopefully if the devs see that in using dev tools to show the true payload capacity that the SIM and other tools that rely on simconnect to see values from the SIM, such as OnAir, spad.next, and a few others, they’ll do something about it. I had planned on adding some other inibuilds Airbus models later to my post as it appears to affect a few others.
