You should use either MDA (baro altitude) or DH (radio altitude), not both. DH is stated in brackets behind DA value.
When using an ILS a simple rule is to use DA for Cat I approaches (you enter that into the MDA field in MCDU) and DH for Cat II/III approaches (you set that on FCU). You enter DA into the MDA field also when doing a non-precise RNV approach or just a visual approach. So most of the time you only enter MDA into MCDU and you don’t touch DH.
For anyone who is NOT in the Fenix A320 today . An update has dropped for the A300. It seems to have a fix for the reverse thrust issue that many have been faced with.
v1.0.9
Update to spoiler arming code
Fixed EFB parsing potential null value when fuel divided by 0
APU EGT not resetting to ambient temp over time and apu fx still visible after shutdown
Temporarily removed EFB reg/selcal in cockpit option
AP2 doesn’t disconnect through Yoke movement; but generally AP disconnects too quick from movement.
Adjusted engine hot start and crank logic
Fixed cut off numbers on VOR frequencies
Fixed ALT HOLD not stopping climb from VS mode
Fixed not able to use reverse thrust using key binds
Fixed ADF needle jumping when signal limit reached
What is wrong with plane on Xbox 9 times out 10 it will not follow the flight plan just circles I think looking for previous waypoint. Direct to doesn’t always work I am experienced with the a310. I have gone over the checklist and everything is correct.
I’ll give the A300-600 a flight on Tuesday to see how it performs in SU15 Beta on Xbox. There were quite a few bugs in the launch version (detailed elsewhere but including Simbrief flight plan import failure) and I’m not sure whether there’s been an update since?
Ok I will look forward to the patch. It’s a joke how the marketplace works sometimes junk money scam addons getting priority over a patch to fix a £50 aircraft.
I think on this occasion we’ve got the added complication that the A300 was pulled from the marketplace because of the issues and they can’t issue an update without getting it back on there. So they’ll want to be extra certain that it’s properly fixed first - I’m not holding my breath
Fuel Issue - flying the A300-600F from a Hot Start.
Regardless of whether I put in say 80% fuel via MSFS scenario set up, or via the Simbrief fuel page, I can’t get more than 13% of full capacity fuel, into it.
I have tried pausing in flight & tweaking the fuel load, no luck.
I recall reading somewhere that the A300-600 won’t ‘add’ fuel if the engines are running?, which is a flight stopper if one hot starts and the default load is around 13%.
Anyone know how to get more fuel into the A300 while the engines are running?
Also, how do I check the version # of the A300? I have updated/uninstalled/reinstalled twice & still have the fuel issue, which someone on another Forum suggested had been fixed in the most recent update.
Thanks
TG
Are you on the Marketplace version or direct from iniManager? One of the latest updates added support for engine-running refueling but the MP is always going to be behind with updates.
If you’re looking for version, the MP will show the version # if you click the “i” icon in content manager. iniManager will show you if you have an outdated version and what the latest version is.
You can’t add fuel to the A300 when the engines are running under any circumstances. I think they are planning to add a realism toggle option into the EFB to turn this on or off but for now, you have to turn the engines off to add fuel - don’t forget to turn the APU on first though
Direct from iniManager.
Found I am on latest version from MSFS Content Manager data.
Via the EFB, went back into the Simbrief Weight & Balance panel, Fuel, & manually entered 54,000 kg in the Fuel box & it took, & fuel went to 100%, so I am happy with that & can now head off for longer flights.
While I was poking around settings I still got the “Can’t add Fuel when engines running” message, but that was before I tried the Fuel box entry described above.

Easiest Way to Refuel in a Hot Start:
You are at runway’s end with engines running. Start APU and APU air, then shut one engine down and begin refueling. Restart engine, turn off APU/ and APU air.
That’s it.
Latest update includes Simbrief integration for Xbox users. I did a full flight in the a300-600f yesterday and it was very nice.
There are still a few minor bugs (EFB chock toggle got confused - showed chocks removed when they were still active in the SIM - I thought pushback seemed super slow!)
Same also took me a while to figure out i thought it was parking brake glitch. I have noticed I think is a bug CPT Nd map range it changes the barometer at the same time
Has anyone successfully configured this with the TCA Airbus throttles on Xbox? Just purchased and I’ve tried everything for the last 30mins to get it to work. Can’t get reversers to calibrate correctly no matter what… Ugh.
