iniBuilds Airbus A320neo Manual Flight Plan Entry Issues

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:

When attempting to manually enter a flight plan on the F-PLN page of the MCDU it is impossible to correctly enter the first waypoint of the route. When you attempt to enter the first waypoint on the line beneath the origin airport, the origin and destination airports will duplicate after the original destination airport and then place your new waypoint after the second origin instance, so the sequence goes:

  • Origin
  • Destination
  • Origin (again)
  • First waypoint
  • Destination (again)

If you attempt this same process with a departure procedure selected, the sequence will go:

  • Origin
  • SID
  • Destination
  • Origin (again)
  • SID (again)
  • First waypoint
  • Destination (again)

Additionally, once these duplicates are added they are unable to be deleted, presumably because the FMGS is treating them as the origin/destination airports and not enroute waypoints.

I have examples of the first scenario without a SID in the screenshots below. This has been verified by other users and only seems to impact the iniBuilds A320neo as the same test performed on the iniBuilds A321LR and A330-200 do not result in this error.

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?

Yes

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?

Every time

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Start a flight with the iniBuilds A320neo
  2. Turn on batteries and external power
  3. Set up the origin and destination airports on the INIT page of the MCDU (example: KJFK/KAFW)
  4. Type the name of the first waypoint into the scratchpad on the F-PLN page (example: ABV)
  5. Press the L2 button (the line currently showing a discontinuity) to insert the new waypoint immediately after the origin airport
  6. Observe the duplication of the origin and destination airports and the addition of the new waypoint after these new duplicates
  7. Attempt to delete one or both of the new duplicate origin and destination airports to attempt to fix the issue
  8. Observe that this action is not allowed

It would seem that this is only affecting the aircraft in the SU3 beta build - would a forum team member be able to move this to the appropriate beta bug reporting category?

This issue seems to be resolved in the latest updated to SU3 build 1.5.19.0 and iniBuilds A320neo build 5.18.1.

Ever since the latest updates to the Airbus family I can no longer import the simbrief plan and performance data. The EFB loads it all up correctly however the MCDU does not. The only data that transfers over to the MCDU is the departure and arrival airport.
Inputting all the data in manually works, I just miss the convenience of clicking to import the simbrief data. Anyone else noticed this? I’ve tested both the A320 and A330-200 GE.
Also with the 332 GE it will only allow ZFW entry and not passenger/cargo figures. This has been like that for a while mind. A new bug with the A330-200 also was whilst banking left with speed breaks out I got the roll out sound! My gear was not even extended and I was around 3000ft high.

Yeah there’s an issue with how the iniBuilds Airbus avionics are importing any route from the default EFB/SimBrief dispatch app. For now what I’ve been doing is going through that import step just to get the plan into the EFB planner for charts and ATC support, and then clearing the MCDU and using the original INIT REQUEST method of importing the route data from SimBrief.

Just encountered this on SU3. First time using the plane. FPS dropped down to 15 while it had me plan to fly around the world instead of a STAR. FPS recovered, but the MCDU was fried.
