And the best thing is, the cockpit is visually upgraded and overhauled and no longer looking like the screenshots (or YouTube videos) you already know about the 310.
Here is for example the new overhauled high polygon seat
Now with that new knowledge that it won´t be a simple X-Plane port but visually upgraded I am really looking forward to the 310!
edit:
So I see there are two different engine types available with different N1 fans and nacelles. Interesting!
And it was made in the seventies before Porsche overhauled and redesigned the cockpit to the A320 so we get a real classic here.
And what distance can it fly 6000nm or what did the creator of this video say, well he said staying in the air for 13h with Mach 0,84 was sometimes the case.
A real long-range beast we have here. (I hope there will be a cargo version available too )
This one really brings back the golden era of the seventies. I wonder why it has no third turbine below the rudder like all good planes from that era have? And I really hope it has autoland.
I really love the classic Airbus airliners and I’m really happy that this top-tier add-on will be for free to everyone. So having the A310 is nice but I also hope inibuilds will bring their A300 and the Beluga to the MSFS platform. Even if they will not be for free.
The brandnew M400 Atlas is not yet on this picture. (The last great M400 was the Moller M400 Skycar decades ago.)
And no one ever will dare to make a study-level A350 because only Elon Musk could - well that guy can anything after showing his warp drive but the average small development team can´t so two Airbusses must be subtracted from the list.
So will the A310 really be released? Do you think it will be truly realistic in every aspect? I have high expectations for this plane since we don’t have any noteworthy airliners on Xbox.
Just looking for some insight…will this be a totally new and fresh aircraft/systems or will it merely be the A320 reskinned? Hoping the MCDU will be it’s own entity and not based on what we have become accustomed to.
Nothing at all compared to the A320 and the FMC is not the default one it is completely custom.
It is a very nice and strange looking plane, stubby and with a long range. The only downside is that is not very popular these days but at least it is still flying.
Here is a list of routes flown by the A310 in the last few weeks:
I hope this really lives up to the promises (systems depth etc) because I miss flying an Airbus.
After I stopped brainstorming a solution for the micro stutters on the A32NX, I gave up and uninstalled it. On the positive side, a big performance update is promised by the FBW team in 2023. Not to mention the upcoming A380 .
It would be the first, as far as Airbus simulation and Asobo/MS Asobo involvement. Inibuilds already have the A310 available for X-plane. The MSFS version is supposed to have the same depth and even more features/improvements.
The A310 is not an A320, in absolutely no way. It came long before the A320 was even developed. It’s not a fly by wire airplane, no computers that validate your input and give commands to the control surfaces. Rather expect a Boeing 767 with a very different cockpit and some quite interesting and sophisitcated automation systems, a very different autoflight system that works a bit like a mix of oeing today and MD11. It’s still a pilot’s plane and depending on how deep inibuilds went it might have a number of quite nice quirks. It’s a 60’s and 70’s development, far from perfect compared to a modern A320.
