I wouldn’t state that these planes are simple compared to airliners. Ok, it depends the level of detail and possible failures but these constant speed radial engines can get quite interresting in termes of temperature, mixture, carburator, propeller pitch, fuel and performance management and the related physics and sounds. It’s also way different between a turbofan and a single huge propeller that creates an airflow that tries to stir the plane on the left when full power at takeoff, etc… Performances needs to be really sharp compared to the POH as these plane are often flown in dead reckonning, taking off and landing on tiny airfields made of grass that can drastically change the takeof distance if wet. As it’s a taildragger, it requires a tight landing speed to avoid bumps. I might be wrong but I have the feeling that these planes might be (for different reasons) as complexe as an airliner to bring to a flight simulator. But what a cool plane to fly if well done And what a reward to do a full smooth flight without a bump at landing ;). I do hope that Inibuild will commit on details, system deepness and failures as much as they did for their A350. That can be quite a plane to fly also in career mode
I also hope they will integrate the option to have a GTN that can make life really easier. It would be cool that they share some news or pics on progress
The fact that they have no plans to update their Bf108 and P-40 for 2024 is a bit of a red flag for me, especially for this type of aircraft, so I’ll probably pass on this one.
They must have hired some external devs to do these planes and once the contract is over they are now abandonware. Same with the Mu-2, they did a horrible horrible job and now it is abandoned too.
I hope A2A can magically emerge with the Aerostar soon and then I would not need to worry about getting or not this one.
So what are the chances this is a purchased and revamped HCG 7W, since that author joined a studio and started working on different products?
I would say chances are higher than zero because HCG withdrew the 7W from the market and that is probably needed if you sold the assets to a third party.
Is he still selling on FS.to? There was a post from this January in that product thread saying as such.
You are right it is still selling in .to so I guess the ini version will be a different model.
Curious choice given that there are about 17.893 aircraft you can chose that are not being offered in the sim.
I’d be happy to be proven wrong but I too doubt Ini is going to make a great GA plane.
They make good airliners, but GA planes need a bit of an X-factor to be fun instead of just detailed systems and such. They need a personality to really be engaging and that’s something I haven’t seen Ini do. Hey, again, if this thing turns out to be a masterpiece, AWESOME, but I’m not holding my breath.
Now, A350 looks great, and that’s up their alley. I’m not really planning on getting it because I don’t do a ton of long haul, and I already have the 777 plus the PMDG 747 seems to be coming into the not terribly distant future(still pretty distant, but the 350 doesn’t do anything for me over the 77F. Still vaguely tempted)
Any news on this? February been and gone…
When I pinged to see where the FS2024 paint kit was for the previous Premier Aircraft (T-33), it sounded like the whole company was heads-down in A350 stuff.
Hopefully now that the tubeliner is out the door, they can get back to focusing on the historical aircraft as well. Sadly, I get the impression that the money’s in the systems-management-vs-piloting aircraft, but hopefully they’ll continue putting some of the effort into stuff like the Spartan and Shooting Star as well.
I still have the 7w from 2020 and it works. I will wait patiently for the inibiulds version to come out and enjoy the 2020 version while I wait. Its a little rough around the edges, but fun to fly.
