Hey all, I big thread and I scanned through it and didn’t see this brought up: is anybody else struggling to trim the T-33 out? Maybe I’m cruising at too high an RPM? Would appreciate some tips here, it seems to either climb wildly or descend wildly at 85-90% with no in between…
Does anyone know the difference in the two engine types mentioned in iniManager, Official and Electron Volt’s? I couldn’t find it in manual. Reading the posts hear, I’m assuming that one spools quicker than the other. Are there maximum thrust differences as well?
If you scroll up the thread, somebody said that engine in Canadair’s version of the plane had the same thrust but spooled up quicker than the original engines for the plane.
Thanks, so the Canadair is the Official version based on Greg Coyler’s aircraft? And Electron Volt’s spools slower?
@iniBuildsEd I love this add-on. My dad trained in them between the T-6 and the F-84. But I’m unfortunately not giving you my mobile number in order to join your Discord.
It may, there was some previous discussion as you’ll notice above… I didn’t download it. Why don’t you just search for @ElectronVolt714 and see?
To be fair, it’d be nice if it were described in the documentation.
Not everybody’s on a forum or in a discord, and the documentation is the canonical source for such information for paying customers.
Hi there! We appreciate your kind words
As for the phone number thing; that is a Discord vertification feature, not something WE have access to. Basically another form of an “authenticator” to keep your account safe. We have it enabled to deter spammers as well as trolls from joining our server, that way people with nothing better to do can’t spam create accounts just to join and troll
ChipwichDB, my dad also was an instrument instructor in the T-33 before flying the F84D and G model on 100 missions in Korea. Small world.
That’s pretty cool. Dad missed Korea, but had two tours in Vietnam, one to Da Nang and the other to Ubon, both in the Phantom. I was digging around for some T-33 photos and found his flight records. 515.2 hrs in the T-33. Couldn’t find any T-bird photos though.
Thanks for the reply. I got it, enabling MFA and Discord sets the method.
Edit: I found the link to ElectronVolt’s mod, which is the slower spooling engine.
Wow! Nice!
Hi, after trying many suggestions from forum, members, I still cannot get either crew member to show in cockpit in external view. I am on PC and have no issues with all other aircraft I fly.
My engine spools slower, and quite a lot. It has slightly less power at low altitude, but more power up high.
Hi! Have you made sure the pilot model is enabled in the EFB? If you have, kindly reinstall the aircraft. That should fix the issue
Hello everyone! We just released v1.0.3 of the T-33!
You can read more here: iniBuilds T-33 Jet Trainer for MSFS v1.0.3 Released - Updates - iniBuilds Forum
Enjoy!
Hi, the copilot is enabled in the EFB and the aircraft has been reinstalled and updated (not to the very latest version).
No problems with any other aircraft.
Just a huge thanks to IniBuilds for being so receptive to customer feedback and continuing to fine-tune the T-33. The flight and engine modeling feels really solid now.
And with the improvements in the paintkit, as seen below, there are some great liveries from third parties out there now. Apparently it’s still a bear to work with, but folks have managed to create some great natural metal birds now, both polished and service-weary.
This is definitely my go-to classic jet now! Hopefully this will do really well for IniBuilds and we might see some other planes from this era, like the F4D Skyray, F9F Panther, FJ-4 Fury, etc. Or even develop this one into an F-94C Starfire!
401 looks about right! That’s me in the back seat! Well done! Where can I get that livery?
