Another update this afternoon for this one:
EDIT: After downloading, my performance is actually a lot worse than before. Ugh. I’ll have to ensure my performance tweaks in iniManager are reflected after the update and do more testing tomorrow.

I find everything gets reset after each update.
Curiously no update for the Xbox this past Thursday!
Was really hoping they would get the update out so I could try to use this airport again as it is currently uninstalled because of the issues I described above.
Hopefully this Thursday.

I have four sceneries bought recently from the MP that all now have updates, and I’ve yet to access a single one.
On PC the updates can be loaded via Profile > Content Manager. I guess Xbox has a similar system.
Another factor is that the MP gets delayed updates compared to buying it directly from the dev (PC only).
Nope, Xbox users are entirely at the mercy of Asobo/Microsoft, as any product updates need to be fully vetted, just like the products themselves.
That’s what i have meant with “delayed updates”. It’s the reason why i only buy addons via 3rd party websites and avoid the MP as much as possible. You console users are trapped.
I let them know this as well on their Discord. Getting close in to Terminal 4 now is worse than ever. Once you move away from their, its fine for me. Not sure on the other terminals. Me thinks its something to do with the landside of the scenery.
Yeah, the current version is much worse for me. A define regression in performance with the same aircraft and same settings as before.
Anyone know why they use letters for the terminals in the gate numbers? It makes it a pain to figure out what gate A1 is, for example. I don’t see terminals referred to by letters anywhere on the charts.
The airport looks amazing, but the developers should think more about performance than high level of detail. The 95% of the simmers love to fly from/to diferent airports and we dont care about detailed interiors with animated people… the most important is PERFORMANCE because thanks to it we can really enjoy the scenary.
It doesnt make sense to have a super mega beautiful detailed airport if we cant take-off, land and taxi to the gate having a smooth experience
Can’t say I agree with this one bit. As long as I get 30-35FPS I’m happy. Don’t really need higher with the airliners at these airports anyways.
Further, IniBuilds lets you turn off a lot of things if you care more about FPS. Hope they keep adding the details. These sceneries should last me for years – by then the machines will easily handle it.
Same here. Something not entirely right since this update.
I generally agree with you, but with a top of the line PC circa 2022 at 1440p, LOD at 150, FSLTL at low settings, and literally everything turned off in the iniBuilds manager for KJFK, I usually can’t break 30 FPS with landing certain aircraft. Takeoff is usually 28-30 FPS. That’s not the case anywhere else for me in the sim. Even with their KLAX I’m at 30 or 31 FPS landing with lower res textures and some of its settings turned on…
Now, with FSLTL turned off, I can be in the mid-30’s, but I think in 2023 airport developers need to have FSLTL and similar products in mind.
@GarrisIiari
What specs?
Works fine for me. The detailed interior of the TWA terminal is georgeous.
Good. Emphasis on the last two word there.
This is by far the wors-performing of the iniScene airports that I own (KLAX, KDTW, EGLL, KJFK) even with the same categories of things enabled/disabled in iniManager. Worse, the initial release and first patch version both performed much better. This most-recent “optimized” release is definitely not so for me.
I haven’t tried on PC yet but the update didn’t do too much for the XBox. Doesn’t CTD as much but it’s definitely rough in terms of optimization. I have the other airports and NYC scenery packs, but has anyone tried KJFK by itself without anything else installed to see if that improves it?
I might try testing that to see if it helps performance at all (even though my KEWR and KLGA have had no issues).
I guess it depends somewhat on your hardware capabilities, MSFS settings, and whatever other addons you are running at the same time. YMMV as they say.
Reproducible issue around terminal 4 has been noted. IniBuilds just keeps saying they are investigating. To me it means that they can’t yet figure out how to fix it and are still working on it.
