Hello, where did you download this version in which avionics works?
Thanks

Hola, de donde has bajado este versión en la que funciona la avionica?
Gracias

:smile_cat: ok I will put the right link (by the way, I took non-default livery.. you can select them in-game)

not really , most aircraft flying around now have some form of GPS , and it really helps when vatsim flying

I sub out the ADF radio with the 172 gns530. U can pop it out to view the map. unfortunately no controls without Air manager or RSG. but you can load a flight plan at the beginning and AP will follow. this is just what I did for a workaround as they build our beloved Goose. Maybe they will add a gns530 in future builds.

So after update the Goose doesn’t show up. In content manager it shows as “Not Installed”. When I click on the plane it says “waiting”. No option to install or cancel and install.

Is it pending something to comply with the update? Should I just reinstall?

So what I did yesterday, and before every update, I move everything out of my Community directory before updating.
After updating, I saw somebody say the DC-6 had been updated.
I went to the PMDG updater thingy, and, lo and behold, I don’t have anything to update!
What the heck!
I did some googling, made an account on the PMDG forums, and then,… remembered that it wasn’t in Community anymore.

I don’t know if that’s what you did, but, that, umm, happened, to me… sigh

No did not move out of my Community folder because the updated started unexpectantly and without option to delay. So I check my community folder anyway and there was the Goose folder, went to cllick and got

So deleted and reinstalled, restarted MSFS and it showed up again installed.

Didn’t happen to the Arrows I had installed, the only two 3rd party I have.

Weird

If you have a look at the icon it’s a shortcut or a soft link and not an actual directory. Not sure what’s going on there. What directory is that in? Oh wait I can see, cool so you installed it in a separate drive, good thinking (I do that too, makes it easier to manage).
Right click on that link and show us what the properties are.

Are you using the addon linker? Why is, as Oz pointed out, the directory a link and not a directory (that’s why it wasn’t working, the link wasn’t pointing to the directory containing the plane)?

I flew the goose yesterday , ksea to lake Washington . It flew just fine. Only problem i had was when hitting the float switches, the switch would turn blue, but no action would be taken

Post 5 update.
Just took a flight in the Goose. Landed on the water, dropped the landing gear, went up on the beach, turned around, back into the water and flew off. Have not found anything not working yet. Great job.

It does handle well in the water, and with transitions between land and sea, but there’s no visible wake. Did I miss something, or will this get updated in a future release?

Not the developer but I would guess that relatively minor tweaks need to be made to define the points on the model where the new wake effects come from, if it’s anything like how such effects worked back in the days of FS9/FSX.

No the issue is that we’ve been waiting for SU5 to drop and we’ll update the Goose soon with the Wake FX.

Hiya,

I just installed latest update and went to do some dusk flying and found that the instrument panel lights don’t work. They seem to just turn on then right back off? Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

That’s great news.
Now while you’re at it, if I may, I think there is something wrong with the Bendix-King KI525A of the Goose (or I’m going mad, so I hope for the former :yum:).

To demonstrate this, I spawned in the sky south-east of VOR LGH / 111.65 (Mont-de-Marsan).
So I’m roughly on the FROM 140°/ TO 320° radial.

The C172 VOR agrees.

The Goose doesn’t. :face_with_monocle:

If I tune in / out my VOR, the red “NAV” flag appears/disappears as it should, so I know the radio receives the VOR signal.

Also, if I turn my needle to 001° the deflection indicator goes full left …

… and full right if I set it to 359°, so it seems to treat magnetic north as a “magic” value.

I did a second test with BLV 115.90 (Bilbao), same result. Impossible as it is to know what radial of a VOR you’re on. Could you spare the time to took at this ? Anything I’m doing wrong maybe ?

Thanks !
Haddock

Edit : oh btw, I also did an ILS test and had no issue.

Could you please look the continously vibrating controller thing too in next update?
That has been there since day one.
